Who is this team going to beat? I think it’s a young / terrible team designed for respectable losses every night.

If Blake Griffin comes back healed (which is possible), he alone can carry this team to victories, that's a big issue I think, he could take them to the back of the lottery by himself.

There's so many elite plus size guards in this upcoming draft, I'm not even worried about winning a few games.

You could legitimately get star potential from Cade & Jalen Green to BJ Boston & Ziaire Williams down to Keon Johnson or Moses Moody (those 2 are only 18, two of the youngest potential stars in the draft).

I know Troy's gonna get somebody to fit right in.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

If he’s healthy and performing at a level that’s carrying this team to a boarder line 8th seed, he will have so much value that a contender will take his remaining year and a half at the deadline.

If not, looks like we’ll have even more ping pong balls.

Given the guys we've got on board now I'd imagine those elite guards are the target.

That said we can take BPA regardless since most of our young guys are versatile.

Hayes 1/2
Lee 1/2
Svi 2/3
Jackson 2/3
Musa 2/3/4?
Bey 3/4
Sekou 3/4
Grant 3/4/small 5
Stewart 4/5

The 2021 prospect I’ve been most impressed with so far in these early goings has been Evan Mobley. The kid is a stud. Perfect big for the modern era. If the Pistons are picking early enough to get him, they should take him in a heartbeat.

Cunningham
Green
Boston
Mobley
Suggs
Kuminga
Jalen Johnson
Barnes
Williams
Keon Johnson

That's a pretty crazy projected top 10

Suggs is just outstanding as well. From the very early going during a very weird season, I like what I’ve seen from him more than Cunningham so far.

No, he’s really young and the injury (if it’s his Achilles) happened in December, so a lot of time to heal. He’ll still go lottery. He’s too talented not to.

I would doubt that, Achilles injuries have been pretty much the death kiss to NBA players careers for a long time

edit: just read he subbed back into the game, so I guess it cant be a significant injury

I really like Moses Moody from Arkansas. He produces whether his shot is falling or not. Gets to the line.

Really young, really good defender.
