Think it's a clear win for Houston.

Apparently Wall’s jumper is much improved in his time off but tough to know how much of that is BS. gonna be a crazy interesting season with several stars returning from injury (KD, Steph, kyrie, Wall, Blake) or having more time to shake the rust off (Oladipo, KP)

Sure, it's a shuffling chairs on the titanic in a way. But I think this is a clear win for Was. Basically the same bad contract from what I can tell. But Russ is a way way better player and doesn't have a torn achilles. And it only cost you 1 pick, which I assume will have protections on it. Basically, Was is in a better position right now than they were a day ago. Unless Wall has somehow transformed into a better player after missing all this time, which would be shocking

Unfortunately this must mean Harden to BKN is happening soon.

I feel like both teams sold low on their guys because they are still stuck with a horrible contract.

Unless both guys were nearly untradable except for each other

Your trash contract for my trash contract.

Not sure how Wall and Harden fit together.

Harden and Wall might fit if Wall comes back and isn't just completely terrible.

Harden and Westbrook did not fit and Westbrook is a **** player and is older and has the same contract. Big win for Houston, who never should have gotten Westbrook in the first place.

I kinda like Washington’s roster tbh if some of their young guys take a step forward. If Russ can get healthy I think they’re right there with ATL for that 7-8 spot

If Wall can get to even 80% of his old production Houston won this pretty easily I think.

Personally think Wall is completely cooked, but I welcome him to prove me wrong.

So we're just going to ignore that Russ is still pretty good at basketball, like what he did after they went small didn't show he's still good. Sure he's flawed but he's still a force on the floor. The other guy hasn't played in 2 years, is coming off the worst hoops injury you can have and wasn't even at Russ' current level before he had the injury. Many are overdoing it on the RW hate. A RW to Wall comparison is almost comically in RW favor at this point (at least to people like us here who have no access to Wall). Also, he is way more likely to be able to be re-traded a year or two from now.

If JW had one less year on his deal I could go the other way but best I can tell they're the same years.

What a wonderfully pointless, let's make a move to make a move, trade. God bless the NBA.

Trade Harden build around Boogie/Wall.

Yeah I tentatively have them penciled in as the 8 seed ahead of Atlanta

If I'm being honest, I'm not sure who does fit with Harden. I don't buy the "he really does want to change how he plays!" bit at all.

If the rumors are true about Wall's jumper and health, I think he's a much better fit in HOU than Russ was.

Why do the Rockets keep trading for ball dominant players to go next to Harden?

I mean, it's like trading for Gary Payton when you already have a point guard.

When does anyone coming off an injury say they're not the same or even better? It's the equivalent of "I'm in the best shape of my life" every camp opening. And in this case, its even worse since he was trying to be traded so they needed to spin as positive as possible. Achilles are a big deal.

I'd like to find one person that says, "you know I'm just never gonna be the same, no way I'll get back to my old self"
