I am not impressed by this highlight. Feels like watching Aaron Gordon without athletecism :D He couldnt get past anyone and tried to post smaller players. Wont work in the nba.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Cade will be good. Literally his first college game. Style wise he reminds me a bit of Brandon Roy.

Cade lacks any explosivness.
Also i did not see anything impressive from playmaking stand point. He is lead ballhandler but most of his assists are very simplistic transition passes or inside out kickout passes. He also does not get lot of assists ( first game 3, this game 4, has more turnovers so far ).
Now does every assist needs to be some uber elite behind a back- no watch pass? No, not really. But there is yet to see him actually being play-maker, not lead - ball dominant- high usage - ballhandler.

I think that idea of "6'8 point guard" sounds more attractive than Cade, as player is.

I just can't talk myself into notion this guy is future star.

Yeah. I'm reserving judgement. Cunningham looks similar to Barrett but with more poise. He doesn't really rush anything. He gets deep position and then gets his guy in the air and finishes. That's advanced stuff. The post and seal was nice, but that's not something he will use often in the NBA. He doesn't look like he is great at breaking down the defense. It's not the lack of burst that stands out to me, but rather that he telegraphs everything. He needs to add some spins and countermoves.

The Suggs video was far more impressive. He showed exemplary decision making and an impressive array of passes in that one game.
He has a nice, compact, and quick release on his shot and plus size and athleticism? He looks special.

They said the exact same thing about Doncic not being explosive enough. Cade is fine. He is averaging 50/43/83. The shot was the worry. He is 6'8" He doesn't move like a 6'3" guy.

Yeah I get Tatum vibes from the way Cade plays. Less athleticism but more poise and craft to get his shot off. I think he'll look a lot better on the next level.

I watched this whole game. Preston showed a LOT! Guy can score in so many ways. His defense is very good too. I would love to see this guy make it to the league.

I also wathced UIC vs Valparaiso yesterday and Teyvion Kirk caught my attention. Very crafty with the ball, aggressive attacking the lane and very efficient decision maker. Needs to work on his outside shot though, but altogether an interesting prospect.

I highly, highly, suggest anyone who missed this game to check out these Suggs highlights. He gives me Lillard/Westbrook vibes. Incredibly impressed with his court vision/playmaking ability as well as his relentless attacking of the basket. He's not afraid to take the pull up Lillard 3 either.

He's one we need to keep our eyes on.

This is my early favorite. Put him next to Cole/Vuc and we have our Dame/CJ/Nurk. Surround them with 3&D and we should contend really well in the EC.

I'm so happy for Suggs being able to come back. Never want to see a prospect go down.

I wouldn't mess around with that type of injury. Durant thought it was okay and it cost him an entire year. Luckily he was already an MVP caliber player with money. I would shut it down and get it quadruple checked before playing again for a long while if I were Suggs.

I'm shocked they brought him back. But, glad his achilles is intact.
