He didn't want to do that to his friends around the league.

lol... What's wrong with New Orleans?

For the average Joe? Not too much.

For a young athlete making millions? Easy to see why they'd prefer somewhere else.

Giannis hasn't either... For fake news, they're sure pushing this narrative, aren't they...

What else can they do to help small markets teams while still having a free agent type of market? The NBA has already been implementing rules and regs that favor small markets for years.

That's the biggest piece of bologna. It favors superstar players and if possible, big markets. Bogdan being blocked while LeTamper and AD happened. The only thing I've seen the NBA do to favor small market teams are high draft picks to struggling small markets and blocking the Chris Paul trade to Lakers. Reffing is pretty spotty when it comes to star players too....

They changed the rookie and player contracts so that smaller market teams could compete with larger market teams in free agency. Don’t you remember when players could sign 7 year deals and had no financial incentive to stay with small market teams after their rookie contracts? Now we have all these contracts that help small market teams retain their players because they can offer more money to them the way contracts are set up. Everyone wants the NBA to be more competitive and blame teams like the Lakers when they make bog moves, when In reality they need to be pressing and holding accountable their owners or “governors” most of these small market teams are owned by guys who don’t give a crap if they win or lose. They make their profit and continue to operate these small market teams. You see it by the way they compete in free agency and the type of trades they are constantly making where they are usually trading for financial reasons instead of what’s good for the team to compete.

Can we put Windhorst in the Broussard tier now? The guy just tries to make interesting storylines based on rating, not on facts.

Windhorst talked to the guy who mops the floors of the Staples Center and calls it an anonymous source.

After watching major injuries to Cousins, Thomas, Durant, Klay, Wall, Curry and others, I think most players are now being strongly advised to stop taking shorter deals to help their team sign other players.

This isn’t really fair if you read the tweet in the 1st post, which the OP then changed in the title to make it read like an actual fact.

and Davis could decide to sign a 1+1 deal, which would give the Lakers room to pursue Giannis next summer

So it says Davis could sign a 1+1, not that he will. And it seems to be written more as speculation on his part then something he was told by an insider.

As usual, Windhorst doesn't know what he's talking about.

He is such a trash reporter. Whenever I see a headline like this from him, I completely disregard it. He's just out there making random guesses.

Oh you're right my bad. Still don't like Windhorst, but he was clearly just speculating here.

I can't believe I was fooled by Windhorst AGAIN

I can't stand that guy. I know he's been locked out of LeBron's camp since 2012 but he speculates with such confidence that I believe him

Sorry Bucks fans for all the trolling, I hope you keep your guy

agreed -that he is still trash

Windhorst is not deserving of the trash comments in this specific thread in regards to the OP's title. but you can still trash him for other crap he's done in the past haha

Should have a conclusion to this nonsense speculation within hours. Good news for Bucks fans. Crying time for Raptors, Heat, Mavs, Warriors, Lakers, Celts fans and anybody else who thought he was leaving Milwaukee.
