In order to record the assist your teammates must be able to get buckets.

The coleslaw defense

C'mon now, you know Cade as way better vision than Coleslaw.

I have my eye on him as a realistic option with that Mavs pick

Yup. I was just saying this earlier. I'd love to come away with the Montverde trio (Cunningham, Barnes, Moody) somehow.

Damn, Scottie Barnes is a physical freak, and has all the skills to boot, other than that big thing where you have to put the ball in the basket, unfortunately. Lacks a shot and a touch from close range.

But man oh man, the kid has a ridiculous upside.. and his floor is pretty high too as far as impact goes.

Scottie Barnes looked like complete garbage offensively last night.

The kid had almost more turnovers than made field goals , air balled a 3 and went 0-3 from the line...

He does show tremendous passion defensively and can guard 1-4 right now so that would be my positive thought after the game.

I will go ahead and say first game jitters could be the issue , but his decision making / shooting performance just based off of that one game does not warrant a top 10 pick grade.

tough not to like the kid.

Leonard Hamilton has been producing some really strong NBA talent over the past few years with Isaac, Williams, Vassell...I trust Scottie developing under him too which is a bonus!

Every player with special court vision will be a high turnover guy. They attempt to make passes others simply don't see or deem too risky.

Don't get caught up in 1st game results. Get caught up in projectability. Barnes projects to be a system player. And he would thrive on a roster with shooters and finishers. He is like the perfect complimentary forward to share rotational duties with Obi and Mitch.

If we are lucky enough to be in play for him with the Mavs pick, we must take him and run (pun intended). He'd even compliment an enigma like Frank as they'd lock down on defense and he'd aid in ball handling duties.

I hope Barnes' raw scoring and lack of touch allows him to fall to wherever our Mavs pick lands.

I hope Moody has an uneven season and allows us to land him by packaging our Hornets & Pistons 2nds.

I'm team Montverde trio (Cade/Barnes/Moody).

I would be more than happy to draft him with a 15-24 pick no doubt.

I think he is a candidate for the Mavs pick as a bench point forward. I don’t think he goes lottery.

A bench unit of Quickley/Frank/Barnes/and Knox could be really interesting. It would let Knox potentially focus on scoring with the other parts of the bench defending, (hopefully shooting the three).

Let’s see what the Knicks do with MKG because Barnes is MKG who can pass

Barnes reminds me of Ben Simmons in a bad way. I wouldn’t take him with our main pick. Maybe with Dallas’s pick if it’s not top 10

Scottie Barnes has made my wishlist.

Poor efficiency but the court vision and defense are there.

Jalen Suggs has been incredibly impressive. he should definitely be 1 of the Knicks top choices. he's the floor general we need and his jumper off the dribble looked solid

Boston and Love were 2 of my favorites heading into the season, but have been disappointed w/ them so far. neither of their shots are falling despite being known as good shooters in HS. it's still too early for me to give up on them, but they

Ziaire has a ton of upside. my comp for him before the season was PG13 and he's not disappointed. his pull-up jumper is nice, he's a long, athletic, 2-way player

should prioritize shooting w/ both picks

Yeah, but in general his playing style isn’t as conducive to longevity as Cade. Don’t get me wrong, I like Suggs but I still have Cade ahead of him on my board at this point.
