There are some big stories out there.
-How did the Bogdan trade fall apart
-How is the front office operating under Lasry the past 18-months versus the prior two years under Edens
-Are the Bucks losing money with Covid, is that impacting luxury tax decisions
But the sports media operating protocols have shifted so hard here the past decade. The local guys simply write recaps and puff pieces, while being grateful for a paycheck. Meanwhile the league has created a quasi official press office (Woj/ESPN) to release the real day to day news.
The only way the paradigm changes is a super talented blogger type, who can get access to real information, and report it on it in a organized manner.
tydett wrote:Honestly not sure if that type of access even exists anymore. I know down here in OKC, we never hear anything because team officials pretty much refuse to talk to the local media aside from for the puff pieces. It's on lockdown, and I suspect most other franchises are realizing that offering that security to players and staff can be pretty appealing - especially since it's not like the local casual fans will stop supporting the team over it.

So they’re going to talk Brewers and Bears for 4 hours?

That could be and they just decided to drop his show. Regardless he's a pompous ass.

I really like ramie. Tim is really good too but it’s pulling teeth to get him to give a realistic opinion. I’m sure he thinks the brewers will win 90 games based on “hey anything is possible”.
