Would an extra playin game or two make a huge difference? it's really only about matchups in the playoffs and to be honest I see the lakers taking half the season off and not being the 1 seed. would I rather be the 6th seed and have the 19th pick or :

In theory, if we get the last play-in spot could we get in the playoffs and still snatch like the 10th pick? The bottom of the east is still garbage but depending on how they weigh the schedules geographically, records might be pretty close between the bottom teams in the conference.

I am not expecting (and certainly not rooting) for this to happen but in a deep western conference, we can make the playoffs as a play-in team while having ~20th worst record?

LAL is officially off the Greek Freak hunt with LeQueen and AD signing. LAL got no trade pieces if he signs with Bucks.

Heats has to trade one piece, to free up money, to sign him. And if he signed with the bucks, their team will have minimal talent left, probably worse than Bucks right now.

Dallas is the team hoping he doesn't sign. And if he signed, Dallas has no talent for the trade.

That leaves GSW hoping he signed, then get him for the trade. No way GSW can get him as free agent. Got plenty of trade pieces for the Bucks to rebuild in trade.

Sacto being Sacto.....
Atlanta offered a restricted 1st from OKC, which really turns into 2 2nd for S&T.

Atlanta signed their guy, and Sacto didn't match.

Instead.... got nothing.

I believe if Giannis signs to the supermax, then he cannot be traded. If he signs, we can stop talking about Giannis, a Warrior.

Windhorst talked about this. He can be traded later, just not immediately like Harden right now. The only worry is Bucks might not let him go even if they promise to trade him when Giannis is ready.

The NBA is a big game of Chess, however the Kings seem to be able to get their battleship sunk during this game of Chess.

They were in a bad spot, with the money committed to Fox, Hield and then drafting Haliburton.

Big payroll for a team which still isn't expected to get in the playoffs.

Did they even try sign and trade with the Hawks though?

Atlanta offered S&T just so Sacto would not match, guarantying Atlanta get the player.

We know now Sacto would not match. You assume Sacto GM, themselves, would know they would not match.... And get the pick offered. Guess they are too stupid to know that they were not going to match?

Yeah, there's absolutely no reason why Sacramento shouldn't have accepted a sign-and-trade offer that just involved picks going back to them. I can understand if they didn't want to take salary back, but to get a pick or two back? It's stupid not to have done that.
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

Well the GM is new so maybe he tried and wasn't happy with the return and didn't think he could unload either Buddy or Bogdan during the season.

Either he's green or maybe he wanted a clean slate, didn't want to deal with so many possibly bad contracts.

Atlanta basically handed OKC restricted 1st just to not match Bogdan. So no skin in the game from Sacto.

Almost like if someone offered you a $100 for letting him jump a spot inline, you were not going to anyways. You would say no thank you?

Possibly our worse player in the last decade. Who is worse?

Return to Golden State Warriors
