Maxey is a good inch taller than Garland. That said, with Garland's added strength gain (reportedly from 175 to 192), they currently look a lot closer in size than you'd think. Maxey is a wide-set built, though, so he'll be able to carry a legit 205-210 pounds eventually. He's going to be a house.

We back baby!

Not a great start. He needs all the time he can get to acclimate as a rookie.

I think that's only for road trips. He'll be back by then.

I would be surprised if any sixers fan is suprised Maxey will be out training camp or most of it due to health (covid).

That rookie curse is not a myth.

Where did the 76ers rookie curse originate from? Do you/we have a timeline and players involved for this? I know Embiid and Simmons are part of it.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)

I'd say Embiid was the first.

Incorrect actually. It started with Cwebb, Brand, and Bynum.

I saw Isaiah Joe at the scrimmage tho..

I don’t think they’ll sit out Maxey, unless he’s not that good right now.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

In other words, Tyrese Maxey will take longer than any human has ever taken to recover from Covid. Expect to see him at some point in March. We'll get reports of him working out. He'll play 2 on 2 scrimmages for a few more weeks. By April he'll be doing 4 on 4 drills. Doc will want to wait until he's ready for 5 on 5 drills. By May, he should be ready but at that point, we'll probably just want him to hang around the G League to get some experience. He will be redshirted and once again, we will be misled and pacified with soothing reports of how well he's doing in practice. Wait till next year ya'll!

According to this small school coach, Tyrese Maxey is the 5th best perimeter defender and the best PnR defender from the draft.

I agree with this guy about Maxey being one of the best finishers. Gets to the rim highly unassisted and finished north of 65%. Absolute fantastic finisher.

Looks like Maxey is only a good outside shot away from stardom!
