He'll get his wish; that team will be built around him if Harden is gone.

You shouldn't expect him to show up just because he doesn't like moves the management has made? I'm sure he expects to get paid. Why shouldn't he show up?

Harden is one of the few stars in this league who doesn't cry for load management or too many minutes played. So he has all the right to act out when the team decides to go from playoff contention to trash overnight. That isn't what he signed up for. What the Rockets are doing is plain idiotic. I don't understand why they haven't traded him but decide to basically have a fire sale with the roster. What is there end game here? Trash management at its finest.

Teams can send players packing without so much as even telling them and people are upset when franchise players want out of dysfunctional organisations?
Sorry but I'm 100% behind Harden here, Houston took several steps backwards this offseason (although I do like Anrew Wood), its completely fair that Harden wants to go to another team.

Harden doesn’t cry for load management and plays big minutes because he wants to put up his 40 points in regular season junk time.

He has no interest in winning or being part of a team, it’s all about stats for Junktime-James.

This season will be harder for teams and players to lie.

He shouldn’t have shipped out Chris Paul then. Or forced management to make better trades and not go after Westbrook. I’m sure they could/would have been a better position by trading cp3 for role players or keeping him. The organization is handcuffed and won’t be good for a long time

And I thought he signed up for a $228 million dollar extension. Silly me.

His game is like watching paint dry. He comes across as an entitled jerk and this year it was Westbrook fault. Year before it was Paul. Then it was he tired. Even though he was out and partying every night.

No but I held onto Luckin Coffee!

If you have a loser on your hand....short or near term...you sell it. The Beard is a tease....all the skill and talent in the world but would prefer to take the easier way out.

Houston would be better off divorcing this guy. They will never win a championship with him.

harden is a chocker who houston fans tried to talk themselves into loving, and one of the least deserving mvps ever

he is the reason houston is lacking success

if i was houston, i would tank next 3 seasons, bench Harden and not trade him... he can go and sign whatever he wants after 3 more years

You would rather do this then trade him to Philly for Simmons who would give you about 80% of Harden's production and you would also get the satisfaction of not sending him to the team of his choice? It is always better to trade an asset and get something in return instead of lose it for nothing.

yes.. i would tank and set an example... then let him walk or trade him at the trade deadline at the end of his contract, for brandon knight and couple second rounders

of course, you want to leave a room for redemption, and if Harden shows humility and being able to be a team player and plays hard off the ball, he can get some of his wishes fulfiled.

Other contending teams should just start sending their best offers already-- he's a key piece in a championship team so this is your best opportunity to add that (super)star.

It seems the perception on Harden has changed since he's seen at parties and clubs when there's a pandemic and he's supposed to be at the Rockets practice. We also heard the rumors about he wanting to be traded, but the Rox thought they fixed it with the Westbrook-Wall trade.

I mean the Warriors wanted to get Harden to add with Curry and Klay to form a Super Splash Bros lineup before Klay got injured for the season, but now the idea looks foolish -- https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2920465-james-harden-trade-rumors-warriors-called-rockets-about-possible-deal-for-star. With Harden's antics, his trade value has definitely taken a hit.
