Boy, I hope so! Pettine's prevent makes me nervous as hell. The Packer's special teams don't either

Just going to reiterate that we hired our special teams coach from one of the worst college football programs. Before that, he was an ASSISTANT special teams coach for the Browns. They were last place every single year he was there.

You're supposed to poach assistants from successful organizations.

With the talent we have on D and ST, there's absolutely no reason we should be this bad. Agree that no matter the results of this season, those coaches need to go.

Read on Twitter

Za'Darius Smith said he and few other #Packers defenders had meeting with DC Mike Pettine this week, asking him to keep being aggressive with a lead. Pettine did that today, and the D appreciated it. "Anytime you go upstairs and knock on a coach's door, I think it changes a lot."

After seeing Blake Martinez lead an overachieving Giants defense, it’s almost like Pettine was the problem ... and not Martinez.

Keke, gary, savage showing promise the last couple weeks. Need them come playoffs. Packers are there own worst enemy. Special teams, 3 and outs, and soft defenses will come back to bite them.

You have arguably both the best corner in football right now and the best pass rush with how Smith Bros, Gary, Keke, and Kenny are playing. Ditch the zone crap, ditch the prevent, and just start playing man defense 99% of the time.

What's confusing to me is the Packers D has basically been the same for 15 years no matter the players or coordinator.

Note: this is a blanket statement and I actually thought the packers D was good yesterday.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

It's definitely been bad since the super bowl win. They drafted a ton of corners and none hit until Hayward and Micah. Let's both go and secondary sucked..now they have jaire who's the best out of all of them and king and now the run defense sucks. So much capitol spent on defense. I wish it would pan out. The offense was neglected but outside of a couple mediocre years it's been consistent and we have godgers to thank for that. If only they could out it all together on both sides of the ball before Rodgers is gone. I want another superb owl.

I’m not getting excited about the defense after beating two of the worst offensive teams in the league the past two weeks.
