This season may be very weird. Think about how many players will miss games because they will be tested positive.
Based on my experience though, asymptomatic transmission is rare. But you can’t really predict these things

Not to mention how much intangibles he brings to the table. Such a good dude. Such a smart player. Such a consummate pro. There's a reason why teams with Danny Green tend to perform well in the postseason. You need guys like him to fill out the ancillary roles.
Hield is more dynamic in putting points on the board (although he's not a shotcreator by any means). But he does not play defense at all. And he's been a losing player that whines and complains and gets benched for various things. Very poor intangibles.
He'd also be our best floor spacer and individual shooter since JJ Redick.
The issue with these limited role shooting players is everyone just assumes if you expand their role their efficiency remains the same. We KNOW what Buddy Hield can do shooting 10 3PT a game. Green is a player who operates at around half that. So I understand why we would want to make the deal.
I just don't see Green that enticing to a rebuilding club like the Kings and I am hesitant to give up another 1st round pick. One thing that hasn't yet happened I don't think is for the trade to be official which means until then the TPE/space could technically be used WITH other players as part of a SIMULTANEOUS trade for Hield. Don't quote me on this though the CBA rules are constantly changing and this could be no longer true. If that were the case then it would allow us to keep both hield and Green because Mike Scott, Ferguson, and Bradley plus the TPE/space gets you to 19M as you essentially turn it into a 3 team trade. That would probably be worth a 1st round pick for.

James Harden is starting to go full scorched earth. He was supposed to show up for workouts and he was out partying in Vegas. Are Ben's days numbered?

If they want Simmons and are desperate for a young star in return, then we should be able to extract extra value from a third party or something.
Harden is giving no **** and the Nets trash offer is not remotely bridging the value gap to Simmons. Maybe that'll piss them off because they think they're entitled to a young star and picks other young pieces, but in terms of pure value relative to the other offers on the table, they can kick rocks if they expect more than Simmons.

I think what would seal the deal (aside from Ben for Harden) is they add the Wiz 1st rounder while we trade for Eric Gordon for expiring.
Maybe Rox will ask for a pick swap (sixers 2021 for Wiz 2021).

I'm trying to finish "Dune" before the new movie comes out. I can't start an entire new novel man.

I was curious about Austin Ainge after reading the post. I just googled him and realize the picture he posted to be Austin Ainge is not him
And it reminded me of that Horry throwing towel to ainge incident. If was more than 20 years ago. I remember Horry did that but didnt remember to whom until i read the post again.

Zach Lowe suggests on his podcast today that the Heat wouldn't even discuss Bam for Harden and would only possibly come to the table with Tyler Herro. This after fighting hard on behalf of the Sixers to only give up Ben Simmons in a deal.
The Heat are the most overrated, media-fellated team in the history of sports. Holy ****. Tyler Herro! If that's a true reflection of his actual value, they need to trade him fast.

CHL is our board's Andy Kaufman. He's being doing this max-effort, absolutely-never-break-character-under-any-circumstances shtick for years. It's widely assumed it's mostly for the sake of laughs, but it's never possible to know how much of his actual opinions leak through. He could actually just be completely insane.
At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. Dude genuinely invests huge amounts of time into bringing us laughs, for nothing in return. Never seen anything like it on a message board, honestly.
I know it's long, but if you want to see sports hate in its purest, most fully realized form, give it a read. His love letters to Kelly Olynyk (search his posts for "The Kelly Files"), and merciless thrashings of Canada and the Raptors franchise are other classics.
I know there's no reason Sixers fans should care about what a crazy Celtic fan is getting up to, but I'm telling you, irrespective of rooting interest, it's just a kind of performance art you don't run into that often.

Re: Around the League: 2020 Offseason
Pure facts. Giannis absolutely has not taken the jump as a scorer, regardless of what the PPG says. Even hotter take, Giannis sucks defensively now, too. He can't guard any ball handlers and if it wasn't for recovery blocks, he'd be an outright switch liability.
The Bucks are wasting halfcourt possessions by giving the ball to Giannis as an initiator for vanity's sake and now he's regressing on the defensive end because he's tired.
Most overrated superstar in the league right now.

Jrue Holiday is a fantastic get for the Bucks. But Eric Bledsoe was a fantastic piece, as well, and he was underutilized because Giannis played on the ball.
The Bucks have to turn the entire offense over to Holiday/Middleton and just have Giannis be a screener/passer out of the high post.

Re: Around the League: 2020 Offseason
Giannis literally can score, as we've seen with his near 30ppg last season. However, he's not someone you'd give the ball to at the end of the game because he's not a shooter and the lane will just be clogged. If you need a drought ending bucket, he's not the guy to go to. He's not an inherent "scorer", but he does score... a lot.
Saying Giannis "can't score" is just a hot take from Channing for the sake of having one

Re: Around the League: 2020 Offseason
"can't score" is just a two-word phrase to describe that concept, though. Which was what his/LeBron's point was in the first place. There's a big difference between guys that can produce points vs. guys that can score. Right now, Giannis veers heavily into that former category.

Yeah I love how ESPN suggests that if the Sixers were to trade for Harden, it has to include Ben Simmons. Yet you see a team like New Orleans, they can keep Zion and Ingraham, and make the package around JJ Redick. Or Denver keeps Murray and Jokic off the table and center a deal around Gary Harris and Will Barton. Oh, GSW can keep all their stars and only give up Wisemane and Wiggins. ABSURD!

What's so fantastic about Jrue Holiday?
