By himself, and this was shown at the time with statistics, The Kelly Olynyk was just as good as peak, injury-free, Utah Hayward.
That wasn't the real equation.
It was The Kelly Olynyk plus over $20million of cap money to spend.
The Celtics replaced the impossible-to-find seven footer who could pass and shoot with range, and visited sick children in hospital, for a swingman who played video games in his basement.
Complete stupidity. It was like if K.J. Wright went up to the New England Patriots and told them to sign him, and to remove Tom Brady and five other players. If Daryl Sittler had called up the Bruins, told them to get rid of Orr and five other players, just to add him to the team instead.
If Hayward wanted to be a Celtic, be "coached" by his insecure friend Steven Brads, he could have happily done that with an average salary of $20million or $25million. That he wanted more, that is proof of his lack of class and intelligence. That he was given so much more, the Ainge Cartel get that failure on them.
