just very happy this cretin is gone. this franchise is so much better off without him and it is time to move on.

The title of the thread makes better sense to me now:
Doc Rivers is a Diva who lacks Accountability, destroys Chemistry, and is Coaching-Challenged.

Imagine talking trash to anyone after you've blown your THIRD 3-1 series lead as a coach. Doc is such a douchebag and the media coddles him.

If I were a Sixers fan, I'd be worried hearing that quote. He truly believes he did nothing wrong that series and it was all the players' fault. He's not going to change.

Lue had nothing but respect for Doc when he took the job. And this is how Doc repays him? Blames him and throws him under the bus. Unreal.

If the NBA had an actual media instead of a glorified clickbait factory, there would have been a follow-up question asking Doc who he blames for the other two 3-1 leads he's blown. One thing's for sure, he can't blame those on Lue and PG. :noway:

I wonder what Doc's assistants in Philly think about this. He's just demonstrated that he'll throw them under the bus to the media whenever he needs a scapegoat.

it tells you a lot about what kind of person he is. but really, his excuse-making and blame deflecting has been apparent since his first year with the team.

Who's changing the subject? Your exact words were that the season was "working out great" until Game 7. Either you forgot the meltdowns that had to happen for that series to even get to Game 7 in the first place, or that's what you consider "working out well." Either way, it's just an absurd position for a so-called Clipper fan to take.

Championships are won and lost in Game 7s

The Lakers didn't have to play any Game 7s last season. Champions take care of business when they're up 3-1.

The bolded is facts.

Ever see Nick Wright or dude above cite Kawhi's Game 5 second half stats? Nope. Cuz he played well in the 2nd half of Game 5 to try and close Denver out and to acknowledge that would make the melt down look like it's on someone else.

No surprise dude above will do ANYTHING do take any blame off of his favorite coach.

Just go be a Sixers fan already. Aint you from there anyway?

I don't have strong opinions on Lue's work, thus far, but there he is with a title in less than a full year, thanks indeed to a transcendent all time great player and Lue doing whatever could help a roster support that talent and overcome another team. Easy call on calming things down and quickly trying a new direction instead of risking more wasted time.

EDIT: meanwhile, Doc is keeping things accountable and professional.

Very annoying. He shucks responsibility everywhere. This can kinda work if you're like a Bill Belichik who is mum about everything in your locker room and how much accountability you give yourself is just one of the things your mum on out of like 5,000. That's not Doc though. He goes out of his way to make it clear he never views this stuff as his fault.

Lob City...not his fault....it was the roster...we were behind the 8ball to begin with.
This melt down....not his fault.

Guy literally acts like he doesn't make mistakes. Like his methods are tried, true, and infallible because he won ONE ring in Boston.

Never been happier to move on from a coach in my life (and I'ma damn Raider fan). A guy who got outcoached in both playoff series we played in but is still squawking like his **** doesn't stink.

It’s night and day listening to Lue talk about this season compared to Doc in the past. Listening to the players talk about what the coaches expect of them, what they were asked to work on, coaches and players knowing their roles, being on the same page, etc... It’s a different energy for sure.

Well, at least our drama won't get much attention with the crap that Harden's pulling now.

Quake, I'm touched by your newfound loyalty to the Clippers uniform. Damn right I'm pissed and after all your years of biotching and moaning on this board I thought you would be too. 36 years a Clipper fan and this was the most disgusting choke ever. And it wasn't just the second half or their SCORELESS 4th quarter, it was ALL of Game 7--82 minutes combined and ONLY 24 POINTS.

Although he needed to be fired, I'll turn it around on you and say it's gutless to try to blame the coach for Game 7. I'm done cheering for the laundry. I'm gonna have to see some leadership and heart before I drink any more kool-aid on Pandemic P and Alibi Kawhi. They're a laughing stock all across the NBA even if nobody here realizes it.

And yet you don't seem to care one bit about Games 5 and 6 for some reason, even though they were equally inexcusable. Why? Because you can't deflect blame from Doc and Trez for those losses, so you just pretend they didn't happen. That's why it's impossible to take you seriously.

What you repeatedly ignore is that the damage was already done before Game 7. That series was lost in Game 5. And it's all because of the worst coach in sports history and his insane level of loyalty to players who don't defend, don't rebound and don't show up in the playoffs.

I'm gonna have to see some leadership and heart before I drink any more kool-aid on Pandemic P and Alibi Kawhi.

You had no problem drinking the kool-aid on #The3-1Bum and Montrezl Harden even though they showed zero leadership or heart, though.

Remember when he blamed Sterling for not wanting to keep Joe Ingles, but failed to realize that Sterling was no longer the owner when Ingles came to Clippers camp.

I thought it was Ballmer? Nonetheless, I remember the gaffe even if I don't remember every detail about it.

He is a weird dude. He's almost a psychopath in how he doesn't take responsibility for anything.

Gotta remember bro.

Even though this is Doc has blown three 3-1 leads and three 3-2 leads, this 3-1 blown lead is uniquely on the players - not Doc.
