With how thirsty for a lead guard we are, we've been focused entirely on Suggs...but I'm pretty sure that the top 3 isn't going to change and Suggs will have to wait for Cade, Green & Mobley to come off the board before hearing his name called.

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?

That'd be good news for us.

We just need the mavs to miss the playoffs so we have two shots at getting that 4th pick

Him and all of those g-leaguers! At least we're starting to see more of these lotto prospects getting onto the court as Keon Johnson got to join the party...though I missed it

Unless there’s enough G League play, I wouldn’t be so sure about Green going in the top 3/5.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I'm not sold on Josh Christopher's style of play. I don't see him as winning player. He'll get buckets, sure. But at what expense?

Cunningham is looking like the sure fire #1. Just consistent and steady across the board. Boxscore buffet type.

Suggs is a stud but his style of play is a bit reckless. I'd still take him in a heartbeat, but he may have longevity issues. Cade is safer.

Ayo has been putting in work. Not flashy, he's older as well. But just may be getting slept on.

Ziaire has really been in a funk since his 1st game.

Jalen Johnson is in a bit of a funk too.

BJ Boston will be a better pro than college player.

Clarke will be good but is a complimentary piece. He doesn't have #1 option DNA.

Moody is the truth. Great shooting option with size at SG.

Nolley got hurt last night.

Scottie Lewis will be a glue guy and defensive disruptor who gets his offense manufactured by others.

Christopher is a nut!

Bouknight will be a 6th man of the year type one day.

I swear by Scottie Barnes. Would love to nab him at our Mavs pick, if possible.

Jeremiah Robinson-Earl would be a nice rotational big as a pro.

Mobley sort of looks like a more in tune with his body Bol Bol. I mean that in a good way. He's got those pogo stick legs that allow him to spring off the ground pretty quickly for a guy his size. That release is SLOW and he doesn't have much strength to make you pay for closing out yet. But he's definitely a good raw prospect. Can't see him falling out of the top 10 even though good big men are becoming less and less of a wanted commodity.

I think Mojave King is going to be a very good NBA player. The name alone. But his offensive game is really nice, his jumper is really good with range, and he's a good, crafty finisher too. If his handles come around he could be an interesting guy slated to go outside the top 20.

Christopher plays decent enough defense and has the tools to be good on that end though.

He does have two-way potential, but I don't know that Christopher has seen a double team/packed-lane that he didn't think he could beat, yet...

I think his mentality is dangerously Harden like on offense but kid has talent for sure. I don’t have to doubt him putting numbers on the board

I'm intrigued because the tools are obviously there; I'm just worried about him ever learning to utilize those tools within a successful team concept.

We don't have to worry about Julius putting numbers on the board either, ya know?...

EDIT:
Even Harden showed way more playmaking as a prospect than Christopher has. Back then Harden was a skilled combo guard who used his craftiness to score & create, whereas Christopher is 100% bucket-getter.

Nice write ups..what are your thoughts on Mobley? I didn't want yo move Mitch for Wiseman , but Mobley has me thinking about post Black Friday luggage sales...

Not sure. I don't now what the plans are for the G League yet. I just want to see this kid in some game footage. Footage at the H.S. level is too hard to evaluate.

Board is sleeping on Jonathan Kuminga. Can’t wait to watch him play. Expecting him to be a top 5 pick!

Return to New York Knicks
