Option 3 has more long-term benefits (all 3 1st rounds hit) and speaks well to the scouting ability of our new front office and the player development of our coaching staff. So it seems like the obvious choice.

I also don't think Hayes winning ROY is THAT unlikely.

ROY is overrated IMO.

There’s plenty of guys who won it who end up with disappointing or average careers, and more importantly there are great/good players who overperform their draft spot in the long run who never sniff that award.

This is easily option 3 to me.

#1 Playing the young guys a lot and still being good enough to make the playoffs and win a playoff game means they must have had a pretty solid season, unless Blake and Rose returned to Prime form and Grant and Plumlee are better than expected. So option #1 seems good in that regard.

#2 ROY could be good, but some years it really hasn't mean much it could be 15 and 5 with poor %s on a really bad team. I would love to see him in the race we haven't had that since Grant Hill, but I agree it doesn't carry a ton of weight as far as being a great player so this one isn't super impressive depending on how good the overall rookie class is.

#3 I agree seeing all our young guys be a part of the rotation and seeing real improvements as the year goes on would be huge.

#4 Also could be insanely good for us depending on where those picks are, and also likely locks up into a top 5 pick of our own.

I mean, the playoffs is something. If we were to actually make them with our young guys as main bits it means the young guys overshot expectations so far that maybe we don’t even need another elite player, and maybe we have an amazing drafting GM.

Nobody wants playoffs but if we actually got them in those circumstances it would have to also involve number 3 right?

I want to make the playoffs. It will show that the rookies taken do have talent. I’m only liked the Hayes pick.It would also cost our first (maybe).

If Hayes works out and we land a top 3 pick this year then we could have something to build with for a long time.

I dont want playoffs

I might be greedy, but the question was what you' most likely to see happen in 2021. I'm okay with #4 happening next year and #3 happening in 2022 =D

The Pistons win the championship. Was that a trick question?

Gotta go with the rooks. Trading Blake would be huge, but he's "only" a 2 year contract at this point. 4 solid young players would be more important in terms of the rebuild.

Rookies working out is the goal.
I’m hoping to win enough to show some hope moving forward but not enough to make the playoffs.

IMO if we could challenge to the playoffs, move griffin and rose at the deadline for two more draft picks next summer to get three again, then we make the playoffs and extend the series to seven games, this I think is the best case possible scenario
