Okay Piston fans, it is time. Time to make your wildest season predictions and ride the wave of hype that comes with a shiny new season into the playoffs, or sink to the depths below with a Weaver themed anchor.

As this is a shortened season(72 games) and is due to be shutdown unexpectedly at any time, give it your best guess. Per example for an 82 game season;

50-32-60.98%

72 game season

44-28-61.11%

The poll options will show an 82 game corresponding record!(as close as it gets anyway)

Also, who do you think is going to play well enough to earn minutes in the preseason, to earn a solid spot in the rotation? My bets are Bey, and Jackson.

I guessed the low 30s (by 82 win metrics, so I guess 26 or so).

So much depends on unknown factors though- this is the least predictable season we've had in a long time. We could be anywhere from sub 20 wins to nearly .500 depending on player health, rookie progression, and COVID factors. The tighter schedule means good teams will be resting their players more, too.

I chose towards the low end of that range though.

Our schedule (at least what is known so far) is apparently brutal with regards to things like back to backs and especially ones that require travel in between games. This is even in comparison to other teams in the league.

From a pure talent standpoint I had us in the second to bottom bucket. Add this in and it looks like I'm the sole voter for the very, very bottom.

It's interesting. I'd normally say I hope I'm wrong here? But I don't think I can honestly say that this season? Weird times.

My prediction is the bottom tier of wins and also what I'm hoping for given what can realistically be expected.

I'm thinking we may end up winning about 40% of our games. I hope we end up below that, ideally because we got a good pick for Rose and fall off over the last half of the season while the youngsters develop on the court. So many unknowns between Covid and load management.

COVID is a huge unknown risk factor that throws pretty much this entire season's predictions out the window. I'm not saying we're going to win 60 games but expect a lot of good teams and superstars quarantining or if for some reason an entire team(s) gets infected and shuts down the league for a little bit

low 30 wins is our best bet for getting at least burn for rookies and young guys while also still trying to go for a top 4 pick next year

Mid 20s to the low 30s for wins.

Convinced the sixers and maybe the clippers are about to implode.

Harden gets dealt to Milwaukee
