How are fellow Detroit-Area cord cutters watching the game? I just signed up for a free trial of ATT TV just to watch the 3 preseason games :D . I'm about to cancel my YouTube TV subscription as they dropped Fox Sports from the channel lineup just like Hulu and others.

I have YouTube TV too, I was pis/sed when I found out they and FSD couldn’t come up with a new agreement. I thought hulu still had it though?

either way, I’m gonna try and find a stream on Reddit. if you or anyone else can find one, send me a PM. I’ll do the same if I do.

We should not expect a lot from the rookies since they barely got some workouts with the rest. However, I expect to see some development on Svi and Sekou.

Where can we find the game? I just tried to find someone that streams FSD and I don’t think there is a single one. I don’t have cable and will never pay for ****ing cable. Is there seriously not a way to buy FSD? This is ridiculous.

Guess they don’t want our money. I have zero issue paying for it. Free Streams are always a mess and horrible quality. I wish I could just pay FSD as a stand-alone.

There is no way to get FSD. That is ****ed up. And they wonder why they are losing fans. Shouldn’t be this hard to watch a ****ing game.

Where I'm at in MI there is one reliable internet provider, essentially. I cut cable and just got internet from them, but there was $20 different between cable and internet, to just internet.

So I went back to getting cable, on the off chance I want to watch something.

The whole system is screwed up, which means its much like other systems in 2020.

The cable companies have overhead for placing and maintaining all these cables, so they dont want to bring you a cable for the customer to pay $8 dollars a month for FSD. I'm not sure there is a good solution to the problem.

It is absolutely ridiculous. In this day and age, and especially with the disastrous NBA ratings, they should be doing everything in their power to make it as simple as pie to get fans to watch games. Nope. They make it even more difficult.

I am dead serious when I say this;

As someone who understands how the TV business works, the NBA is on a precipice right now. TV contracts are not going to be worth in the future, what their current contract is, period. The landscape isn't changing, it has already changed. The money from current license holders just isn't there as they are also on shaky ground. You can't get blood from a stone. The NBA needs to diversify their viewing options. Blackout restrictions need to end with the next deal, or even sooner to ensure that the loss in viewers doesn't become permanent. They may take a hit breaking/changing contracts, but staying the course could end up being much worse.

One of the options I have been calling for, forever is the ability for local fans to purchase viewership of their own teams. It works in several levels for them as well. 1.)The local team gets an immediate influx of cash. 2.)The NBA can parse, by area, where fans are willing to pay to see the sport. This information is absolutely crucial in tailoring viewership, ratings, and commercializing their viewers with direct advertising. This information is difficult to get, and expensive but with this model you get fans to pay you, to give you their information! This money from every team can also, just like the TV contract money be pooled so every team gets a cut.

A new, more friendly "Broadcast" contract can then be made with various networks, AND streamers getting more eyeballs. Ads on jerseys is not going to cut it.

The NBA desperately needs to move into the future and making easy ways for fans, future fans, or even those with a passing interest to watch, instead of jumping thru hoops, or even illegally stream the product is absolutely assinine.

Just for this alone Adam Silver should be fired, nevermind the absurd product that has been put on the court. The NBA needs to be available everywhere, not exclusively with one network, or one channel. It's idiotic.

There's plenty of ways to watch games, not necessarily legal but they're out there. I'll just leave it at that.

Luckily for me being in New York, I get to watch the game locally tonight and the next game.

Okafor might legit springboard his career here. He’s talented. Remember him ****ing on Drummond.

Whats funny about it is that he seemingly suffers from the same low motor that Andre has. Okafor has a ton of talent but his effort is just crap. If he had the motor of Westbrook, he would be all-nba easy.

Maybe he improves his effort, but I don't see it. Low energy guys like that always remain low energy. Its part of their physical makeup.

Eh. I mean, I guess.

He’s talented, but it’s kind of the wrong skill set for today’s league.

Plumlee projects as a backup for us- so I dunno, maybe Okafor was always gonna start. Bodes potentially poorly for Stewart though. If someone is out in the cold with respect to minutes, it’s him.

Starters for preseason aren’t necessarily starters for the season, but this is probably Casey’s earliest inkling of who the starters are.

If Blake misses time you definitely see Grant slide to 4 though.

Okafor is less defense and passing than Plumlee. Worse on Pick and roll than Plumlee.

Better at shooting? Did Okafor become a legit 3point shooter?

Griffin and Okafor seem like Monroe/Drummond for defense.

FYI I wouldn't take this as the going forward stasrting 5...sounds like they want to get some different looks..and see everybody. I still think Plumlee starts when its all said and done.

Watch him in this game. His post moves are quick. Not slow like the centers were 15 years ago. He works fast in the post.

If he ever learns to defend he will have a place in this league. He’s working on his outside shot too.

24 years old. Watch him.
