Can never expect someone with a LeBron avatar to have anything objective to say about Kyrie. Just not worth my time. I mean, we will see anyway but I know that you guys wish he fails wherever he goes for many silly reasons. It's pretty lame.

Outside of being tall Black men, I'm stumped? What is it? Being outspoken about social issues?

I look at guys like Kyrie, KD, Kawhi, even Bosh and Love (before the narrative was flipped when they disclosed clotting and mental health issues) and see one thing in common. If you're an outright antagonist or scapegoat of LeBron, you seem to get extra criticism from the LeBron loyalists in the media. Kyrie not only gets it from that side, but the Celtic homers as well.

Yawn.

All we heard last year from Boston fans is how "by the end of the year you will hate kyrie" yadda yadda.

He has since proven to be even more of a fan favorite then when he signed. in a short time he has done so much for the community, is clearly happy to be back home and in the 20 games he was on the floor had some insane performances.

Yeah narcassists dont give unless its for the publicity. and kyrie stays out of the public eye when it comes to his charitable work, unless it is to promote awareness.

Lol

He’s done much more than donate to Beyond Meat. It’s pathetic for anyone to downplay community philanthropy. The man donated 50,000 masks and other supplies.

the kyrie irving hate is unreal, he's a champion, arguably the best pg in the game, definitely best handles in game, multiple time all star. i got him on mvp watch at this point with this much hate, he has something to prove and im a believer in his game.

What are you seriously arguing against here? It's clear you came in with an unfounded judgement on Irving's character based on whatever slight he committed against you in the past, and you've been proven wrong about it (decisively).

Just own up and admit you were wrong. Jeez.

The Kyrie hate is just on another level it's insane how bothered these people are by him. If you don't like or hate him for whatever reason, why not just ignore him? That's what a sane person does when he or she dislikes somebody.

Kyrie is perfectly justified for not liking the media because it happened way too often that they painted him in a bad light and the media often just do things for clicks. The flat earth comment is a perfect example. Many idiots still mock him for it even tho he did apologize for it later. Should he approached the media a bit differently? Sure but he has a point still. I can see where he is coming from and I can see where the media is coming from as well in this instance (even tho I'm usually not on their side btw). Both sides can have valid points.

Imagine having this much hate for someone that doesn't even know that you exist. My God, you are pathetic.

The fact that Kyrie lives in your head and yet you really don't know anything about what he does for other people makes you look really stupid.

Anything else you want to add, or have you had enough of making an ass out of yourself?

Not sure if anyone caught his IG live but he had 2 really fun conversations with LeVert and KD. All seemed really close.

Classic example today of why it was 100% legit for kyrie to tell the media to kick rocks....

Steve Nash: " I haven't gotten into the off the court stuff with Kyrie. I dont know the reason or if it will continue. Its not my focus. My focus is on the court. Kyrie may not be in your good graces but he is in mine."

Bondy

thankfully, record was set straight....

Bondy buried the majority of what Nash said, which was basically "its a non issue, kyrie is good with me" and just went with "nash doesnt know what kyrie is doing"

Glad Kyrie is giving us such access into him directly. the Instagram live tonight was awesome. clearly showed his bond with Caris and KD. if we had no IG live and kyrie spoke to the media we would have stories about how KD regrets teaming with KD and Levert is upset Kyrie took his PG role.

Media is already running with the part of the conversation where Kyrie and KD were talking about posting up. Asking if they're seriously discussing the offense. Going over Nash's head. Or that KD is starting to regret it already.

I'm convinced these people are weirdos or just filled with hate. Refuse to believe any normal person could misread that conversation.

Yup... which just continues to prove Kyrie right. if kyrie did that in an interview with the media during shoot around instead of on instagram live we would never be able to see the entire conversation, in context, which is clearly a back and forth joke they have about kyrie's spirit animal being a big man and not about what they will actually run this season.

Having now read the full transcript, this is such nonsense. like clearly omitting everything of substance Nash had to say and instead going with the click-bait of "Nash say he doesnt know why kyrie is doing stuff..."

I mean, can you really blame Kyrie for boycotting the media when thats the Tweet they run with when this was Nash's actually quotes:

Steve Nash wrote:"“I haven’t addressed it with him,” Nash said in answer to a question on the issue from ESPN’s Malika Andrews, before adding a comment on how Irving has been playing in camp. “He’s been unbelievable in camp. He’s been playing at an extremely high level. He’s been a leader.

“While he may not be in your guy’s good books, he’s in my good books so I am enjoying coaching him. He’s been unbelievable but if he sees my thoughts or wants to discuss it, I am more than happy to discuss it with him. I have not had that conversation with him.”"

I mean if the media doesnt want more players to boycott them maybe they can run a legit story like:

"Irving looking great in camp in return from injury, nash 'loves coaching him"

The conversation about Kyrie getting post up plays was hilarious, but in all seriousness I definitely think they should run that play a few times a night because we've seen him score on guys pretty easily like that.

This was the first time I've seen him talk with ppl in that kind of relaxed environment, he seems pretty chill tbh.

Honestly the more you see, the more you realize how the media narratives shape people's perceptions of him, yet the players' relationships with him are paint a totally different picture
