A Pawn can Win the Game.
Apparently Kyrie doesn't know this.

But, you can be Checkmated by a Pawn.
And in the Game of Chess, there are 8 Pawns, to each side.

It's actually the most prevalent piece.
And it can be elevated to a Queen (it's the only piece that can do that), once it gets to the other side.

It's a mistake to think that a Pawn, or a Person, is inconsequential.
Anyone who thinks otherwise, is generally the Loser.

I don't know about anything else y'all are talking about, but it's a problem that y'all think y'all own celebrities/entertainers. His on court performance is what we pay for. He doesn't owe any of us anything. I think he should talk to the media, it's a part of his job, but I also think the owners/NBA have a responsibility to have the media keep it about his job instead of always trying to pull out headlines.

Kyrie has issues and there is no question, the media/we try to exploit them. People would rather see him lose his **** than see him do what he thinks is best for himself, because you think of him as property/superhuman instead of a flawed human like the rest of us. I don't care if they give him a billion dollars, he's still a human!

You don't have to like him, I'm not a fan myself, but some of this vitriol is out of pocket. I don't care what any of you say, y'all are taking things too far on kyrie and it's sickening to see. Step back, look at it, he hasn't hurt you!

He can do whatever he wants, he's just an insane person with zero self awareness. There is no NBA with no media coverage. So if you want to be some dumbass like Kyrie and not talk to the media, and talk about playing this sport for the purity of it, the art of it, etc., you just aren't being very reasonable. If you want to play the sport for the purity of it or whatever, quit the NBA and go play with some guys at LA Fitness. I have no vitriol with Kyrie; I think he's hilarious.

He owes none of us anything, but if he wants to be paid half a billion dollars in his lifetime from a sport that is only that large because of obligations he doesn't want to partake in, he's a **** ****. But again, I don't really care, I just enjoy some of the **** he says because none of it is based in reality.

If he really cared he could take the 25k and donate himself to a charity. Or you know use the platform you have with the media to address social issues that you care about. He just so self absorbed.

Yep! Someone said Kanye of basketball. Kanye has said worse. Both of them need to get help!

Both deserve being called out on the BS they say, i have done it myself, but thats different than what I have been seeing since he decided to leave the Cs.

This is in no way a defense of Kyrie. As a public figure he ranges from bizarre to downright annoying. And of course is the type of player who sulks and can bring a team down when things aren't going on all cylinders despite his undeniable talent. But as a person there is little to criticize. He lives a pretty clean life, gives millions back in charity, and all things considered a pretty good egg.

Just a shame he is space cadet who almost seems like he's trying to self-parody himself.

watched every preseason game and the main thing I came away with is that most of these recent draft picks won't get much run early on this season since there wasn't a real offseason. Coaches won't trust them and they'll be lost on defense no matter how good of a defender they are. So I'm tempering my expectations for not just our young guys but most of the guys taken in the past two drafts. These teams that are flush with young guys are all going to struggle big time at least until well into the season.

Was going to post this after he looked good yesterday, BUT who would Boston have cut for his spot.. I would have cut Semi, though different positions.

He's on a Minimum contract, too. We didn't have to pick up Ojeleye's contract.
That would have worked out.

watching Poku a bit. looks smooth as expected but damn doesn't look like he did a single pushup since Covid started and that is so disappointing. Either lazy or can't put on any muscle. Before someone says he is only 19.. I get it. just show the slightest improvement at least.

further rookie updates. I Okoro, happy to say lead the team in minutes played. started and played 33 minutes. "just throw him in there" 6-9 and 2-4 from 3...

meanwhile Wiseman has not played. Injury? Covid?

I could be totally wrong but watching the wolves, i don’t think the other guys like playing with DAR. I also think he doesn’t want to be there and his body language shows. I don’t know his stats over the years but he looks like a ball hog with terrible court vision. I know he’s a bucket getter but man i dunno, he may not be a team guy.

If he ends up good I'm going to be really upset because I loved his videos and wanted him from the moment I saw one of them!
