Re: Award Winning Lakers Board NBA Dynasty League - Year 7
I did some basic math using projections and apparently I caught up with you on FT% bitches.
From the beginning of times, I punted this cat like a mofo. I had a .609 overall percentage for a full year IIRC, a couple of years ago so not long ago(Record book still not active), by far the worst of all time and impossible to surpass ever again.
All of a sudden I have a lot of guards now and the projections say I should hover around 75%, I already had an overall number in the low 70's last year and won a bunch of times a cat I did not want.
I should be able to at least break even now, all of this while maintaining my usual numbers of 48-49% FG, amongst the best from the very beginning.
So you can go ahead and only circle points and 3's against me, I'm going after anything else.

Proposal: Add a 3rd IL spot for 2020-21 season
We should add another Injury List reserve spot because of COVID-19. There is a solid chance one or more players on each team might come down with it and have to sit out a mandatory amount of games, so adding an extra IR spot will help alleviate some of the issues that would bring.
What do you think about this idea?

Sound good, but would Yahoo tag them as IL or OUT though?

Yeah, I'm with tugs on this one.
Those Yahoo bitches are getting more and more stupid with each passing year. You'd literally need your player to get hit by a truck to get an IL spot. And that's after they put him as 'out' for a few games first.
I remember last year they had one of my players(can't remember who) as 'out' for like 5 games in a row before they put an injured tag next to him. And then my player got back right after that. **** idiots.
I say we do either 1+1(one roster spot and one IL) or straight up 2 roster spots. There's plenty of players who can contribute on the wire right now.
It's not even just Covid, I expect a boatload of injuries and random DNP's for the year with the condensed schedule. We'll chop down our roster to 17 by the next draft and have a normal season next year.

Re: Award Winning Lakers Board NBA Dynasty League - Year 7
Also we talked about this last year.
We need one more playable spot. We expanded the rosters last year to 17 but we have the same 11 playable spots as we always had.
That's not good. There are always full days of games in which minimum 3-4 players get to rot on the bench because there are not enough spots.
And especially if we add another roster spot, there's no incentive to not add another playable spot as well.
Even as it is, 11/17 is not acceptable. 5 bench spots is more than enough, add another Util spot and be done with it.
Example. As soon as the 2nd day of the season, I have 14/17 guys with games on that day. If they are all healthy, I would need to bench 3 of them because there are not enough playable spots. I'm sick and tired of trying the lottery and pulling my hair when I made the wrong choice and the guy I benched is feasting.
Even with 12 spots there are going to be plenty of days in which players are going to be benched, but at least it's more manageable.

So we think we should add one UTIL and 1 IL spot for this season?
Makes sense to me, especially with NBA potentially expanding to 15 active players.

Ok, it won't allow the UTIL to be increased after the draft.
Here's what will happen.
Effective immediately - IL spots increased from 2 to 3.
In the offseason... Increase roster sizes to 20! 14 active and 6 bench. We will increase IL from 3 to 4 and you will do your normal roster trim downs during draft time.

If it can't be done for this year, the next sounds good to me.
14 active from 20 total sounds fair to me, it rewards deep teams and active owners as it should.

Yeah. Players should automatically be activated from the IL once the "out" label is off and they are clearly back. I'm surprised Yahoo hasn't addressed that themselves.

Let's see for instance I have an injured star, say Dame, and my team's stacked. Lucky I picked up Jeremy Lin and he went Linsanity mode.EArl wrote:tugs wrote:Great news, Ty!

Dame's back, can't drop anyone for Lin due to caliber and/or schedule and would like to ride the hot hand til the wheels fall off or his schedule gets ugly.
Basically missed opportunity for the other GMs

Derrick White (left toe surgery) isn't likely to return for weeks, according to coach Gregg Popovich.
Pop said that Keldon Johnson has been playing 3-on-3 but won't return "for the next couple of weeks," and that White is even further behind.
Watch me getting an IL spot after new years eve.

**** morons. You write in the player's news feed he's gonna miss weeks but still not gonna put an 'injured' tag on him.
