he does things like Chet Holmgren that KP can't though. There was one play OKC actually put him as the P&R ball handler where he used the screen got into lane and threw a beautiful pass to the corner. KP can't do that.

Now Poku is going to need to add some weight but dude runs around the floor like a wing...much more mobile and quick then KP was. Whether he will be as good who knows.

I mean, it was pretty clear he was just messing around with that

People using it as a reason to not draft him had already made up their minds about not wanting him and wanted something to justify it with.

Yes. Obviously there are differences. And he's smaller than KP and somewhat quicker. I think he's going to be actually really, really good if he doesn't break .. but them's the odds. :-?

However, if you watched the Mavs in the bubble you would have seen that KP was actually making beautiful passes, even beautiful touch passes to the corner. So that's a similarity, not a distinction, for me.

So, yes, Poku can probably guard 3s better than KP, and maybe he does some more artistic things when driving in the paint.

So, yes, they are different players. However there is, imo, a 50% chance that Poku should have been a top 4 pick this year.

KP isn’t that good so Poku doesn’t have to jump over the moon exactly.

Yeah I hear you, I'm good with our pick for where it was. Toppin looked nice in his debut as well.

yeah but it got way more publicity then it should have, and you probably are right that people that didn't like him were using this as added ammo. You would also think the quiet the rumors he would just put out another video to show his shot didn't change. He was clearly throwing up 40 footers but if the spurs buy your stock I would tend to feel comfortable they know what they are doing.

Saw some Lamelo highlights and may watch a replay on League Pass tomorrow if I'm not too lazy lol.

His passing and handle are next level. Definitely better than Lonzo. But man - that shot is all messed up. Be better figure out how to take good shots fast. He took a few Curry-lite threes that were just stupid. Then had a Frank-like floater airball.

The behind the back passes, rebounds, and all that are cool. Remember that this is just Game 1 of preseason and that every one of his slick passes were made on the break. I don't think the Hornets will be defensive stalwarts this year. Therefore, teams will cut off most passing lanes and just dare Lamelo to shoot.

Also - his defense is nowhere close to good either. Strength will probably help with this over time, but Zo's got the edge over him in terms of defense and the shot.

he is huge for a PG and like you said has elite handle and vision so he will probably be a walking triple double. The question will be will his efficiency and defense be good enough to be a lead playmaker on a good team? Time will tell.

Guys like Jason Kidd and Rajon Rondo couldn't shoot especially early in there careers the difference though is both those guys were elite defensive guards and had big time basketball IQ's (not taking horrible 3's, they knew there strengths). Does Ball want that or does he just want to put up highlights on ESPN?

Biggest thing I got from all these rookies going off is why aren't we getting Quickley any minutes?

He's not Jokic, but he's not Nurkic. (Either level would be fine - he's somewhere in the middle.)

In the middle, somewhat elevated

I guess they really wanted to win the game with the starters. That was a preview of them ruining the tank at the end of the season

What are you on? Nurkic is literally more than twice as good a passer as KP is.

KP is a finisher and a scorer, he is not a facilitator in any sense.
