With Lebron resting I think he could get more minutes in the RS

Honestly, the kid has the tools, the work ethic and is young enough to be an above average player, at least good rotation/role player. Same I felt with Josh Hart.

But.... I think that’s a hype game by LBJ and the Lakers, I see what he’s doing, he is praising our young guys since the very first day to try and gain attetion from the league and up their value, just in case we need to shake it up a little around trade deadline. I can see a package of Kuzma+THT+some vet for a disgruntled star in a few months. He did the same with BI all the time his first year and has already said Kuz is gonna be most improved player of the year.

Bron is about now, not the future, he wants to repeat and he is always playing his cards.

He's like Brandon Ingram's arms attached to Kyle Lowry's body. Those arms extend for days.

I like this comparison and ceiling for THT.

It’s not easy for a 19 year old rookie to get minutes during the playoffs and THT got that last season. Now you can expect more minutes especially during RS.

He has poise and both offensive skills plus defensive toughness and physical tools so we shall see. I am surprised by all the Lakers fans downplaying this kid especially during the preseason.

Yes, it's a pesticide! It kills all of the logical braincells in fans for a period of the pre-season while vets coast and the 15th guy on the bench is trying to ball his heart out to keep his roster spot.

edit: Thankfully its not very effective and disappears after about 6 games.

Bench player this year. Starter thereafter.

Let your hair down, Laker fans. You have a good one.

Cmon. Give him a little more respect than that. He’s like the 12th guy on the ROSTER.

Bench player to start but the future is bright for this kid. He just needs to keep improving and work on D and his 3s.

He could guard 1-3 and possibly small 4s.

Not explosive though so ceiling is limited.

I mean as a second-round pick, as long as THT develops into a guy who can play 15-ish minutes during a playoff game and not cost the team the game, then he's a success in my book. I don't think anyone should expect anything more than that from a player who was picked later in the draft.

That is his floor. THT’s ceiling is much higher. He can play both side and attack the rim with handles. Below is one play Lakers fans love although he missed the shot. The kid’s potential is super high.

THT broke Paul George on a missed shot? Reach.

Way to early for this thread. Kid just turned 20 less than a month ago. Hasn’t played significant minutes or games. He looks good that is all for now.

With the variety of moves and the ability to change direction this kid has at 20, IMO it's safe to say his floor is being an NBA starter.

THT lacks explosive ability but is he much less explosive than Luka?

Just preseason, but he drew attention last season when he played. Solid player with great agility and what appear to be very long arms.
