1) How many wins will the Heat have in the 2020-2021 season? (notice it's a 72 games season)

I'm thinking a 55 win team over an 82 game season. You're going to have Bam and Herro attempting to show out. We could have Precious helping immensely with post defense and rebounding. Confidence will be key. Nevertheless, we are still going to tinker with lineups and drop some games trying to figure out who works best together.

47 games. That's a pretty solid year.

2) Will we make the playoffs this year? If yes - what seed will we be?

Yes, 2nd seed.

3) Who will be our top 4 leading scorers, and what will their PPG be?

Bam-20
Herro-19
Jimmy-18
Dragic-15

4) Who will be our best overall new addition (new to the rotation)?

Precious. Crossing my fingers here. We could really use his strengths.

5) Who will be our best overall young player (age limit set to 25)?

Bam

6) Which player will make the biggest improvement from last year?

Herro. He's ready to blow up. Team trusts him.

7) Who will be the biggest disappointment?

Meyers. I mean, he's been in the league this long. He's not changing.

8) What trades will we end up doing during the year (or even before the season starts)?

Nothing substantial.

9) What will be the biggest surprise of the season? (positive or negative or both)

Us winning it all.

10) What will our board posters write about Spo once this season is over?

Best year yet.

11) Predict a nice/interesting statistical nugget you can see happening with the team or a player.

Who was our youngest leading scorer in franchise history? Bam leading the team in scoring would be at a pretty young age.

12) Predict the weirdest moment of the season.

Team forgets how to play defense, and we go on a mini-losing streak after being on fire.

13) Predict a RealGM Heat-board development you expect to see with a long time poster/s.

al bondiga becomes the next Heat forum moderator.

14) What will you consider a success/failure this year?

Winning it all/Not winning it all.

15) What will be the biggest factor to impact our success or failure this year?

Bam and Herro. These two have to blow up. Have to, or we're not going anywhere.

16) Bonus playoff question - How far will we get in the playoffs and how will our season end?

We're winning it all this year. *Prays for health*

Silva will become a solid player off the bench.

Meyers Leonard

No major trades. Maybe a trade of Leonard for a rotation player.

Harkless rising to become a great player off tbe bench for a contender.

10) What will our board posters write about Spo once this season is over?

Bam shoots over 35% from 3.

ECFs. 6 game defeat.

You know when I 1st started reading here it was like I do on the Celtics board, read the ridiculous predictions, and giggle when the Celts fell flat. But, you knuckleheads grew on me.
Love you long time and wish you GL this season.

P.S. - Still dislike the Celts most of all.

1) Considering we had 44 wins in a season with Waiters and Johnson nonsense with those two and Winslow in and out of the rotation I think we could net 52 wins this year.

2) Yes, I think a 2 or 3 seed.

3) Jimmy - 22ppg
Bam - 18ppg
Herro - 17ppg
Robinson - 15ppg

4) Want to say KZ but I think Precious will have a considerable impact on a ton of aspects where we were lacking last season so I'll say Precious.

5) Herro will be our best overall young player

6) KZ will make the biggest improvement because he will go from playing 5 games averaging 1.4ppg and 1rpg to something like 11ppg, 5rpg 2apg. If he winds up starting it could be even better.

7) Myers Leonard if we pay him 9mil and he barely even plays or Kendrick Nunn if he plays a considerable amount of minutes and continues bricking 3's.

8) At this point I only see us trading Nunn and Olynyk for a starting calibre PF at the deadline.

9) Precious will be the biggest surprise. I think we will realize we have something considerably better than we expected at pick 20.

10) They will say what they always say that he's trash because he played Olynyk or Nunn too many minutes.

11) Bam will start showing signs of being able to hit the 3 point shot and if he does we could see more Precious/Bam line ups.

12) All my predictions will be accurate.

13) Guys will stop suggesting we trade for Mo Bamba... God willing.

14) I will consider it a success if we can make at least the conference finals again. Not 100% sure we can take down a healthy KD so keeping my expectations reasonable. Would be a failure if we are knocked out in the 1st or 2nd round.

15) The biggest factor will be Bam's aggressiveness. If Bam realizes he can take on anyone in this league and starts attacking unconsciously on the offensive side of the ball then I think the sky is the limit for this team.

16) I think we get to a game 7 against the Nets but Kyrie and KD are too much for us offensively in a closeout game and we fall short. But in reality we are going to go back to the finals healthy this time and smack the Lakers like we should have last season.

I know this is late but... here you go if you want to account for it....

1) How many wins will the Heat have in the 2020-2021 season? (notice it's a 72 games season)

48 games.

2) Will we make the playoffs this year? If yes - what seed will we be?

Yes, as the 2nd seed.

3) Who will be our top 4 leading scorers, and what will their PPG be?

Butler-20
Herro-18
Bam-18
Dragic-16

4) Who will be our best overall new addition (new to the rotation)?

Not too many new additions so I'll go with the rookie, Precious over Bradley. I do think Bradley is going to have a good but quiet type of impact.

5) Who will be our best overall young player (age limit set to 25)?

Bam

6) Which player will make the biggest improvement from last year?

Herro. He is itching to take that next step as a scorer.

7) Who will be the biggest disappointment?

Harkless, if only because we are expecting Jae Crowder and that he is not, offensively or defensively.

8) What trades will we end up doing during the year (or even before the season starts)?

I don't think we make a trade but if we do, I could see a trade for Aldridge.

9) What will be the biggest surprise of the season? (positive or negative or both)

We are going back to the NBA finals and quiet all the "bubble" nonsense.

10) What will our board posters write about Spo once this season is over?

"He's getting better but I'd still fire him for anyone I think is better"

11) Predict a nice/interesting statistical nugget you can see happening with the team or a player.

Bam is going to average a double-double for the season again and dish 5 assists.. again.

12) Predict the weirdest moment of the season.

We'll have an average start to the season while Spo experiments with rotations and gives bench player more PT to preserve our veterans.

13) Predict a RealGM Heat-board development you expect to see with a long time poster/s.

We'll get more old timers randomly visiting our board.

14) What will you consider a success/failure this year?

NBA Finals = Success - First Round of Playoffs = Failure

15) What will be the biggest factor to impact our success or failure this year?

Internal growth. We are depending on Bam, Herro, Duncan and Nunn to take that next step.

16) Bonus playoff question - How far will we get in the playoffs and how will our season end?

We will make it to the NBA Finals and we'll be healthy for a rematch against Lebron. Heat in 7 (can't help it) :D

All Valid predictions FINAL LIST :

dean456 - 52 wins
HerroBalls - 50 wins
HeatFanLifer - 50 wins

IggieCC - 49 wins
gom - 48 wins
HeatingUp3 - 48 wins
Hallstar - 48 wins
heat4life- 48 wins
iamoti - 47 wins
Feel_the_Heat15 - 47 wins
DayofMourning - 47 wins
RexBoyWonder - 46 wins
SA37 -46 wins
dolphinatik - 45 wins
contract - 45 wins
Dr_Heat - 44 wins
Cmon_Son-_- - 44 wins
The Bunk - 44 wins

Chalm Down - 43 wins
eddieheatfan - 40 wins

=====================================================================

So the average prediction of Heat board collective gives us a win total of 46.55 wins this season. That win total would have been good enough for a 4 seed in the East last season.

So it seems we expect a slight improvement to last year's regular season, and if we're right we'll have home court advantage for the first series and then a tough series in the second round.

My predictions are actually shaping up pretty well, although Miami would need to go 40-18 to get to the 46 wins I predicted, which is unlikely.

Still, people are complaining about not trading for Harden, Nunn was disappointing for people bc he lost time to Bradley, who I predicted would be the Heat's best new acquisition.

Well at least there is a good sign that Nunn is back to being affective. When Butler returns the Heat could bring back the starting lineup from last year that went 43 and 30. But with a new true All-star version of Bam

Return to Miami Heat
