I don't know what happened or who signed up to RealGM and started doing it but they should stop.

It's always been like this. We've always had the biggest fanbase on this site, followed by the Lakers. Every season there's a bunch of new ballboys making the rest of us look bad.

Hmm, idk I don't recall it being this absurd and aggressive on the General board. Maybe in Raps related topics but like... an end of the first round guy after one preseason game?

On the Raps board sure, on the general board that's kind of just disrespectful to the rest of the teams. Obviously every team has one of those, that's basically a second rounder.

I don't know it's been intense lately. Raps fans always had the most fans when NY isn't good on this board but it really seems to have gone out of control the past couple of years in regard to constant threads on the General board being made.

If a Sixers or Celtics fan did this Raps fans would be tearing them apart. Actually I’m surprised there wasn’t a thread last preseason after Carson Edwards dropped 30. :noway: It’s just amazing that someone can’t see how silly it is to hype someone after the first preseason game, in mostly garbage time at that. Yet we still get like two dozen of these threads every preseason.

those are the extremists on the Raptors board.

Flynn is solid but don't expect anything more, maybe in his peak an all star for 1-2 years if the Raptors do really well and he's the catalyst (voted in or top player on top team as a reserve) - Raptors churn out solid players but all of them right now are all role players in a sense. even Siakam.

Team does well but missing a true superstar to take them all the way. hence why they are focused as a team on the defensive end to overcome their shortcoming as a team on the offensive end (half court, i.e. playoff basketball). They are but missing a huge offensive half court player.

:-? If his peak is a all star player then that’s 95% of the players drafted into the nba. Masai has done a great job drafting later in the draft but he also picks older more seasoned guys. Siakam was the exception. Flynn however hit a few threes, made a nice steel, also blew a easy floater. It wasn’t anything someone like Desmond Bane did also. Even if he had went off for thirty it would have been way to premature to make any declarations.

well being on a top team would get your recognized, even if you don't actually deserve to be an all star, esp if there are no other all stars on the team. just saying if it was a good team but no standout.

Initially, that is what I was thinking too. VanVleet while four years into his young career just jumped out with a nice productive fourth season minus the efficiency, Bibby jumped out of the gates immediately as a rookie and put together a pretty nice twelve year run with some impressive playoff numbers as well. Bibby had a presence on the court, floor general and held leadership roles on teams that were successful. So, I suppose the jury is still out on this one, but FVV has some miles to go.

He plays as advertised! He's elite in PnR, can shoot from the 3 and high IQ as defender. He looks like TEN YEAR VET on the court, it's fascninating to watch.

Masai Ujuri, Bobby Webster & Dan Tolzman drafted another gem!

He's going to make great back up for Lowry. As Lowry is getting older, he needs to have more time on bench. Flynn is going to fit in GREATLY!

Be excited Toronto Raptors fans!

I like his game a lot and really attacks the paint and finishes very well both hands. This will be much more of a task in the NBA than it was in the Mountain West, but they all start somewhere and he has a nice spot there in Toronto. Damian Lillard out of Weber State people were saying the same thing. Obviously, that is a high ceiling, but Flynn at 29 was a great pick. And it's a win win because he slots right into the rotation where they need help.
