At 5'9" he'll need to be very special to play much in the NBA and there is no doubt the Nuggets think he just might have what it takes. His special skill? He led the nation in scoring last year while playing at Marquette. His very special skill? He shot 43% from 3pt range over four years! It didn't hurt that he also shoots 88% from the FT line.

I was actually hoping he'd enter the game when Malone called timeout for that final play in regulation. Howard can be inserted for situational plays.

It's been a while since we last had a legit 3-pt. specialist in our roster. All I can think of are Voshon Lenard, JR and perhaps past his prime Mike Miller.

If he can pull it off that would be a huge benefit.

You are right we haven't had a legit 3 pt specialist in a long time.
