Team didn't want to have to pay for their hotel rooms on the trip down to DC.
I think we all knew at least 2 of these were coming if not all 3.

Re: Pistons Waive Lamb, King, Ball
Yea King is probably the only real surprise here..but with the Pistons opting for no G League this year, I guess not all to surprising.

I never understood the LiAngelo hype. Maybe there was something else you guys seen but he will never play an NBA minute.

Ouch. LiAngelo never even saw preseason time.
In any event, moving on. These guys never had a chance.

I'm seeing that gelo had a foot sprain so that killed his chances on remaining on the roster especially with us not opting into the g-league this year.

Re: Pistons Waive Lamb, King, Ball
Tough going for the players who would otherwise be G league candidates for us. With a number of teams opting out, getting picked up may not be easy at this point. I liked King but they must value Musa and/or Sirvydis more.

Re: Pistons Waive Lamb, King, Ball
With the Pistons decision not to have a G-League team this year, the Ball and Lamb moves make sense. King is a little more interesting as he was under a 2-way deal so that opens up a roster spot. I wonder if they have somebody targeted. Musa and Sirvydis are already under regular roster contracts or are unaffected by this decision. With the league expanding to 15 active spots per game and with the 2-way players being allowed to stay with the team full time (to practice and travel) and allowed 50 games each, it's really a 17 man roster this season. They're probably looking for a more "now" ready player. I wonder if they could get Justin Patton back under a 2-way. There might be a restriction there given Detroit traded him and then he was cut by the other team, but maybe it's a time restriction that has passed.

I'll be rooting for Louis King. Guy's only 21, wouldn't be surprised to see him pop up as a solid role player somewhere one day.
Gelo is barely G-league quality.

Eh. I don’t watch Piston YouTube videos.
Certain characters will always get more attention than they deserve. The internet is a click-based economy.

Just type in Detroit pistons in google and every title is about a guy who has never even played for us and it's been that way since he got a non guaranteed deal.

Re: Pistons Waive Lamb, King, Ball
If Ball was good enough to contribute I would have tolerated his dad's sideshow, as long as it didn't disrupt the team.
That said, I'm relieved he wasn't worth more than a camp invite.
