I never know what to actually blame on a ST coach because it's not like they teach guys to lose lane integrity or miss tackles. To be clear he might suck and need to be replaced but could be the players are the ones who need to be replaced.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Rodgers is definitely the MVP if it ended today.

He’s the best player on the best team. Perfectly acceptable criteria for an mvp vote whether you like it or not.

That's a pretty weak argument. First off, the teams are both in the top 3 in the league. Chiefs may be 1, but there is not a large gap between them, Saints, Packers. DVOA has the Chiefs 1 in O, 18 in D, Packers are 2 in O, 20 in D. They are very similarly built teams.

I would argue the Chiefs have a better offensive supporting cast, but Rodgers has better numbers. They are both insanely good but Rodgers has had a better year.

Yeah, I wouldn't pout if he wins. I think Rodgers has been better too, but oh well. We don't need the MVP curse :P

Mahomes has been stellar but by all metrics Rodgers is having like, a Top-5 greatest QB season of all-time. He's literally at 2011 levels. I wouldn't overthink this.

Well I simply can't wait till the narrative shifts to Rodgers shouldnt win MVP because he has Adams, who's probably the best WR in the league this year, and Jones, who's Pro Bowl level and you just can't be the MVP when you have those two weapons to ease the burden

Edit: Just watched a video with everyone's favorite talking head and all I can is apparently I was too late

I don't think it's "perfectly acceptable" at all. One guy has been flat out better, currently sits at the top seed in his conference, and has a lesser team around him. In fact, what your "acceptable criteria" is, is overly simplistic whether you like it or not. This isn't the NBA.

I wonder if there's trash talking in the special teams room about how old man Crosby can nail a career long fg and make a diving td saving tackle, while the young buck all of 6' 6" just gets juked and embarrassed giving up two TDs.

Honestly Mason might be the GOAT tackling kicker. Just add this one to his highlight reel.

I could care less about the MVP. In 2 years, nobody remembers or cares.
That being said, if I had a vote it would go to Rodgers. Not sure how many voters will look inside the numbers, but if they do, it's not a very difficult choice
