Thats my issue with JRich, if there’s any. He’d get 20 one night then 6 the next night. He’s so inconsistent.

And it was magnified with us because we relied on him to score and create much more than he ever should have. He'll do great beside Luka.

Umm.. i still think Seth will do better with us than Josh with them.

Seth plays that JJ role. That is role that is proven to make guys like Seth look like a star.

It may not be evident with both guys’ preseason performance but for the long run.

Another thing is the contract situation. If Josh Rich plays well, then he’ll either be an overpaid asset or will walk.

Not sure I necessarily agree. While our core players are insulted on back of shooting, JJ and Seth are completely different. JJ is one of the best movement shooters ever (especially around screens) which made him so lethal in the DHO. The two man game at the top of the key was championship playbook tier. I'm sure Seth will perform fine in his role, but he's more a more traditional floor spacer. JJ and Joel talk about how their chemistry was a once in a career type thing in this pod ~10 minutes in

Wizards is a fun team, if Rui and Avdija’s shooting is real.

Westbrook
Beal
Avdija
Rui
Thomas Bryant (this kid can shoot)

Seth is a way better ball handler and can do more off the dribble/PnR than JJ. Plus, he’s the better shooter. It’s easy to see Seth having the same impact here as JJ did, at the very least.
always a jump shot away.

It's not as simple as A + B = C. Every player has unique individual attributes that allow them to do certain things. Seth in his career hasn't really ever ran off screens, JJ has a history of that being in his arsenal from before he met Joel Embiid. The skills you mentioned above have less of an impact on the handoff action than the fact that he's four inches shorter than JJ Redick. He won't have the space to get those already tight shots off. He also doesn't have the pace, that tireless engine or the same difficult / off balance shot making ability. I'd trust Shake more if we wanted to replicate that set. Seth is more of a stationary shooter that can get himself some space on limited dribbles. I'm sure Doc will draw things up to get him open looks, he'll do some good things with Embiid, but to expect anyone to "fit the JJ role" just because they're undersized and can shoot is unrealistic.

Ben can play this way right? Zion’s been playing with Adams and Hayes.

Difference being Zion does not get told he has to get the ball to Adams/Hayes then wait to see what they do with it.

It’s going to be crazy when he and Harden are running the PnR after the trade deadline.

If that’s the Wiz starting five... Morey should be calling over there trying to steal Troy Brown.

Yeah, if Troy Brown ever takes the jump as a creator (like he was in highschool and small sample at Oregon), he may be the next Butler/Leonard type two-way star wing. We should be all over the phone lines with the Wizards.

Brown is the type of trade where you sell high on Shake Milton.

Not terribly surprised that Giannis re-signed. He seems like a very loyal guy if he's be done right by the organization. I don't feel particularly great about them winning it all, but it's cool that he's sticking with the team that drafted him and not creating some super team.

Wait this will totally upturn the market for Harden. Teams like Toronto, Miami and Dallas were restructuring their cap in a way to set themselves up for the chance to sign him next summer.

Love it. Need to do some prowling on here and subreddits

Zhaire Smith signed with Memphis. Considering his misfortune here, I'm pulling for him.

Holy ****. They should have given him a few more "negative tests" to be eligible to play. Dude looks like a meatball.
