But is this the pen that Khris gifted him? I don't think it is. I think they secretly hate each other.

Congrats guys. It's nice to see a superstar stay in a smaller market. The thought of him in a Heat or Lakers uniform made me sick.

Congrats! Small market clubs win again! Giannis also got two cases and kegs of Miller High Life (the beer that made Milwaukee famous).

Re: Giannis SIGNS
Ok, I need your collective wisdom and experience.
Can you think of a single international star, who had the opportunity to stay in one team forever and bolted instead?
I can't think of any.
Yao Ming
Olajuwon
Ginobili
Nowitzki
Parker (until they traded him)
Duncan (technically international, right?)
That's my list, I have the brain of a very small monkey and I'm ready to reach my small sample conclusion: if you're a small market team DONT DRAFT AMERICANS, THEY HAVE THIS UNHEALTHY FIXATION WITH LA

Re: Giannis SIGNS
Sources tell Jake Fischer from Bleacher Report that Giannis had a financial consultant look into the tax situations in Florida and Texas before deciding to stay:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2922585-source-giannis-compared-bucks-supermax-offer-to-texas-florida-scenarios.amp.html
Instead of signing the five-year supermax, Antetokounmpo weighed signing a two-year maximum extension and then inking a four-year supermax in the summer of 2022, when he would have reached free agency as a 10th-year player, eligible for an even higher portion of any team’s salary cap.
Sources tell B/R that Antetokounmpo’s representation also enlisted the services of a financial consultant to consider how a two-year max and a four-year max would have compared in the states of Florida and Texas, as opposed to Wisconsin.
In those scenarios, Antetokounmpo would have netted roughly $33.3 million over that two-year extension after taxes, plus approximately $114 million over a four-year deal in the states of Texas and Florida.
These are based off projections of the league cap—which is only set up as of now through 2023-24—but 151.3 million over six years, compared to the $124.2 million after taxes in Wisconsin, in just his five-year deal he ultimately agreed to, tipped scales in the favor of Milwaukee.

Doncic might stay with the Mavericks for many years as well (assuming the keep building a good roster around him and have an elite coaching staff like the one they do now).

“I like it,” Butler said. “I don’t think you can go around him. I don’t think you can go around LeBron either. You have to go right through them. You have to beat them. You also have to beat the Sixers, Boston, Toronto. There’s a lot of squads in the East with some really good players. Doesn’t intimidate me none. I actually get excited for it. I want to go up against the best, my guys want to go up against the best. That’s our way to show we belong. That’s how we get our respect.”
LeBron James — who jumped from Cleveland to Miami to Cleveland to Los Angeles in his career — said he and Giannis are in different places and made different decisions, but LeBron is happy for him.

The LeBron narrative machine will be in full force.
I can’t wait to beat the **** **** out of Miami this year.

On the flipside, I could see Zion staying with Pelicans for a long time if they don't **** the bed, really like that kids attitude . Hopefully Giannis makes this a trend for the younger guys

Woj sucks in case you weren't aware. Remember that sweet/polite letter he fired off this summer to a sitting senator?

Nah, man. Everybody is worthy in celebrating this. Nobody can be blamed for having doubts/being nervous. If I didn't know what I knew, I would've been on edge like a mother f'er the last few weeks, too. Trust me.
The only issue I had was people calling him a diva and turning on him without even knowing what was going on or what was gonna happen.
Yeah I never really quite understood when the thread delved into Giannis bashing when we didn't know what was going to happen yet. There was definitely some uncomfortable pages in there.

So basically he would have been ok going to Miami or Dallas but wanted to give the Bucks another run. Gotta give him credit

It was an embarrassment to any journalist. Fwiw, i don't really consider him a journalist anyway.
He's the Walter Winchell of the modern NBA.
"This is my home, this is my city...I'm blessed to be a part of the Milwaukee Bucks for the next 5 years. Let's make these years count. The show goes on, let's get it."
