To Raps=> Horford + 1st RD pick from OKC due to facilitating Al's contracts(saving 20M)/one of the Clippers ones
To OKC => Beverley+ Lou + Zubac

We still need a Serge Ibaka-type off the bench; meaning a highly experienced Big that can start if needed AL HORFORD fits that bill.

a bench of
Malachi + TD + Thomas + Horford + Boucher

Norman at 18ppg like last year as a starter
OG needs to do 15+ppg
Baynes fits the shooting center role better than Mark.

We can still compete for Top4 in the East with that.

okc isnt going use picks, to dump salary, why would they want to do that, they arent in tax, or have need for cap space etc.

they will rebuild horford value, play him for a year, and when he is almost expiring dump him for another pick.

Because he is 34 and his contract expires in 3 years. Lou is an expiring one and Pat's expires the following season. As an OKC player, If he gets a serious injury during the season that he will become almost an unmovable contract (without including MULTIPLE picks)

OKC would save 20M of committed salary and that pick would be in the Late 20s pick with that trade

first of all its 3 years yes, but technically everyone knows its only 2 years. last year is partially guaranteed, and is only fully guaranteed if horford wins the finals.

and i come back to the point of what is OKC going to need cap room for?
and also the same thing can apply to raptors, what if horford gets a serious injury and becomes and unmovable contract. and you want the raptors to take that risk + contract for as you said a pick in the late 20s

even if lowry walks free this offseason, that 30mil cap room that horford would eat up, can be used better this offseason.

Toronto gets: Harden + Tucker
Philly gets: Lowry + filler
Chicago gets: Norm + OG + TD
Houston gets: Lavine + Thybulle + 2021 Raps 1st + 2021 Philly 1st + filler

FVV/Harden/Tucker/Siakam/Baynes
Flynn/Thomas/Watson/Boucher/Len

It’s hard to make the salaries work without moving Fred or Kyle and I assume we won’t move Fred because of bad optics (even though it makes our team better to keep Kyle over Fred).

I am a big fan of Lavine. I want him as our SG next to flynn

Norm + Baynes + TD + pick for Vuc
Lowry for Horford
Lowry for LMA

I feel like all three of these deals have the potential to raise the ceiling of this year's team given our ridiculous guard depth. These would be assuming one of Norm or Kyle wasn't interested in an extension.

Thank goodness you are not our gm, lol

Lol I'm glad it's Masai & Bobby too. It was late when I posted that so the trades are a little rough around the edges. I don't hate them in theory though. Unless we trade for Harden, we're not going anywhere without an upgrade in the front court.

Also, we'd only trade Lowry assuming we approached him for an extension and he said no or was unreasonable. At that point you work with him on a trade. Him going to Spurs makes sense for lots of obvious reasons. The Horford deal would require a third team for Lowry, and we might need to be compensated; although Horford's contract isn't the albatross that people make it out to be.

Vuc is a really good player and Orlando won't trade him unless we're giving up actual stuff.

Norm + Baynes + TD + 2/3 1st round picks for Harden + Tucker (Real freaking stupid we didn’t sign Ibaka, his salary would go a long way in a trade filler)

Lowry/FVV/Harden/Siakam/OG small ball Championship. Flynn/Thomas/Watson/Tucker/Yuta bench. This is a team that can get hot enough and score their way to a championship

Harden gives me the vibe of a guy that wouldn’t report for the Raptors....although that could lead to a bidding war that nets us more assets than we sent out.
He would be a good asset to have when teams get desperate.
This could be the way to retool the team at the expense of putting up with Hardens baggage for half a season.

Yeah since he’s under contract for 2-years if he wants out after year 1 we can get a nice return back from a desperate team.

There’s a lot of teams trying to contend right now and you know at least one will get desperate after losing early in the playoffs.

Maybe we can get Simmons because you know Philly is going to flame out of the playoffs.

ya I like Simmons the reason why 76ers like Simmons. outside of his shooting, he's the kind of guy you want for positionless basketball. can guard all positions, scores at an elite rate in the paint, has great handles and quickness for his size. he's basically the same size as OG or Siakam with ball handling skills and elite court vision.
