He's too tough for his own good. Said after the fight, once he got cleared from the hospital he went and hit pads...like that same night. You put me in that armbar and I'm not even picking up a newspaper for a while

Sidenote: This weekend's card is pretty damned stack. It continues my nightmare patch of fighters I really like against super dangerous match-ups with good skillsets to counter them...I'm a Wonderboy stan, but Geoff Neal is scary good.

That Fig-Moreno fight might be a TOP 10 All-Time UFC fight. It was a real pleasure to watch, like a classic boxing match.

I watched the video from the DC-Helwani podcast on the Tony-Alex fight that he'll probably be coming back soon to fight Paul Felder or Dan Hooker.

Yep, looking forward to this weekend.

Lots of momentum shifts, strategy changes and a close out that was all grit. It's definitely the best fight in division history for me.

I wonder when they will rematch. Seems like an easy call for the UFC to do that

There's not a boring fight on the card tonight. Starting in a minute we get Hardy's sloppiness vs a much smaller but actually somewhat skilled Marcin Tybura. Then Marlon Moraes gets another tough stand up cat in Rob Font. Font looks like he's putting things together and Moraes needs a bounceback.

The sleeper is Periera vs Williams, both dudes are explosive as hell. Khaos Williams throws more orthodox hands while Periera is the back flip and cartwheels guy. Someone's prolly going to sleep in that one.

Then two of the best boxers in the division with Aldo vs Vera. Vera's taking a big step up in opposition but he's a pressure fighter which plays into Aldo's weaknesses. I really like Aldo's in-fighting though and think he has a good chance to take this.

Then it's my boy Wonderboy, whom I think is the biggest threat to the wrestlers in the top three rankings of this division. He's fighting Geoff Neal though, an absolute power hitter who is way more cerebral than he gets credit for. Neal is facing a big step up and I'm hoping Wonderboy can keep him off balance. But I think with Neal's talent, it's a matter of time before he puts everything together and forces his way into the top five. All my favorites are losing this month, so Aldo and Wonderboy joining the fold would be on brand :nonono:

Yea looks really good. Now wouldnt mind seeing him go up against a derrick Lewis, it would be a huge step up but would be a fun lead up to the fight

Hoping Font destroy Moraes, don't want to see Moraes being spring boarded back into a title shot

I'm happy for Font who's worked hard to get 4 in a row. That said, Moraes has been on a decline lately.

Peiriera vs. Khaos next.

Considering they are cutting 60 fighters and how much Moraes makes per fight and not really a main eventer he could be getting cut

He really towers over Williams. Still neither fighter has done any damage.
