Hilariously, they said Obi was the oldest Knick on the floor during the run.

I like keeping the rooks motivated. I do think he should be starting by end of season though.

90% of our problems get fixed if we get a PG...

This is why the FO wanted Chris Paul he’d have inflated our players value

But you also have to get rid of Randle because he takes away from a good point guard. Randle actively brings the value down on some players.. a point guard would be one of them.

Disagree

a good PG makes Randle better, Randle is only bad when he has the ball in his hands, if he’s getting set up properly, you maximize his value

Show me an example of that? Julius Randle has been the same effing airhead he's always been. His problem is he can have a good game statistically but if the team he's on should find themselves in a close game Randle will eventually either dribble the ball off his foot, throw the ball away, or barrel into a crowd and get called for a charge. He could be playing with Magic Johnson it doesn't matter. He's played with good point guards before.. it doesn't matter. His brand of basketball leads to losses, period.

Only saw the last 6 min of the game but I loved every minute of what I saw. Obi was really the oldest guy on the court for us in that comeback run. Play the damn kids!

Mitch was a legit anchor on Defense. Defending without fouling going straight up to contest shots, using his height and length without jumping at times. Even with the foul trouble he produced

Quickley was a real spark. Crazy what having a pg who can shoot from range and is also fast can do for you offense lol hope he gets more playing time. Also IQ is a great nick name

Knox pushing the rock after grabbing rebounds (and not just turning it over like he seemed to always do in the past) and running the floor with RJ lead to easy transition buckets. Winning teams get those.

That last possession where RJ and Mitch ran pnr that drew 3-4 defenders leading to a Lowkey no look pass from RJ to Obi who cut to the basket from for the dunk was just special

Good game

Thibs will quickly ( <------ see that there) take the smile off your faces. i predict next game Quickley will be handcuffed by the coach and have a less impressive game just like Obi.

To keep that "Put Elf on the Shelf" theme going, Knicks need to cut him, and then he's out of the league looking for other ways to make money:

I like the fact that Thibbs keeps pushing DSjr and it’s working on the defensive end. If he can become our Chris Childs, I can live with it.

I like how Quickley doing things so quickly for us at PG.

Play the young guns more minutes together and let them learn from their mistakes.

Hopefully Thibbs does the right thing by reducing Payton’s and Randle’s minutes. I don’t care if he starts them as long as he pulls them early during the quarter and insert the young guns into the lineup.

i can see that too. but he plays like he's scared to try until the moment he does something stupid and turns the ball over. he's not a point guard, but if he can't be a microwave bench scorer either, he's cooked. in any case he's better off not being a lead handler

If Randle just was a good team vet I wouldn’t mind. Only thing that humbles him is the bench.

You'll be second in line when he spends the season avoiding today's successful lineup in favor of 1 year garbage rentals.

Well, Thibs did let the kids play out the quarter. We haven't seen this in the recent past.

Fiz would have brought back Randle and Payton for the last 5 minutes, and we'd have all been shaking our heads. Some would have considered if life was worth living. And the negative comments on this board would have killed as many as the pandemic.

if you are trying to teach youngsters how to play the right way, you can't have a handicapped player out there, because the right basketball play becomes the wrong play if it's setting up for a 3 to a 29percent shooter. confusing, and detrimental to all.
