KP’s value is so odd, who is that perimeter player? What caliber of player could he get?
Yeah I've got the same issue. I just have no idea.

What about something crazy-ish like KP, THJ, James Johnson and Jalen Brunson for Harrison Barnes, Buddy Hield, Richaun Holmes and Nemanja Bjelica?

That feels really bad for Dallas. They are trading the only other guy with any star impact potential for 4 role players. I think Dallas is notably worse immediately after this trade and have far less flexibility.

the plan is to get as good as quickly as possible....I fully believe we could have been a borderline playoff team last year by adding young veterans....using or draft picks and cap space.....can I specifically tell you who? no.

I'd prefer KP but I can see a route whereby we end up with Gobert to solve defensive frailties and KP brings back that legit second offensive option.

I think this is the most accurate way to list players. It bothers me to see guys like Simmons/Harden/Doncic/LBJ listed at PG knowing there isn’t a single PG in the league that is guarding those guys on court, and vice versa for the most part.
When are we going to list Jokic at PG? Top assist man in the league, main facilitator on his team, brings the ball up the court... and Never because he’s 7ft 280. Simmons is a ball handling PF, LBJ/Luka a point forward, Harden a ball dominant 2G/SF

Yeah that's a logical scenario. Where you and I differ is that I would prefer that scenario--in other words given a choice between KP and whatever else Dallas could do with cap space at this point or Gobert plus whatever return Dallas could get for KP, give me the latter.

Why would they SnT Gobert for Porzingis when they could just sign him
Why even sign Gilbert when Kleber is the better fit defensively and offensively
