Whiteside is the back-up C for the Kings, not the starter....just a follow-up on the discussion about him only going to a team where he would be starting.

A monster game too! 11 points, 9 boards and 4 blocks in 15 minutes.

Yup, Lopez should have been the 3rd or 4th choice after Whitside and Noel

Somewhere, somebody just survived a train crash totally unscathed.

Meh, Hayward's injury isn't very serious. He'll be listed as day to day after today's game.

The current Wiz front office ignores players like Whiteside - because he's not considered a boy scout. That might also be the case with Noel.

There's some reason they both bounce from team to team despite being productive.

Re: Discussing Other Teams' Moves - Part 7
Here's a funny one. Back in the 2017 draft, there were 2 pgs I was interested in late in R2. One was Monte Morris, who as we know has become a big success in the league. The other was Nigel Williams-Goss.
Williams-Goss was taken #55 that year by Utah -- 2 picks after our #53 which Ernie traded to NO. But, he didn't play for them that year; instead they kept his rights & he began his career abroad.
This year, he was finally in their camp, so I paid attention to how he might perform in pre-season. Williams-Goss played in their win over Phoenix the other day. & he absolutely killed it! In 14 minutes, he went 3-4 from the floor including a pair of 3-pointers, & 7-7 from the line -- 15 points on 4 shots & 7 FTAs! He also got 2 rebounds, an assist, & 2 steals.
The next day they waived him.
Good thing he didn't play badly, huh? They might have shot him instead!

Heh, same could be said for Lopez, just for different reasons.

Detroit plays so hard compared to our soft play...we are lottery bound if the attitude does not change drastically

Agreed -- that was a jaw-droppingly weak effort tonight.

Tell me what guard in this draft can run the P&R as well as Melo can right now?
I hear the Rubio comparisons but Rubio was only 6-3 and couldn't hit the side of barn coming out.

Melo had a great showing last night, even his shooting.
