Re: Fantasy Trade Thread: 2020 Offseason
I think the deal should be straight up..
Ben and Seth for Harden.
This also is perfect cap wise.
Seth becomes a lot valuable for the Rockets with Ben and Wall.
This deal, we dont have to absorb EG’s contract and give out any picks.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread: 2020 Offseason
Harris, Milton, Thybulle, Maxey, Scott, 2021 1st, 2022 pick swap rights, 2023 1st, and 3.5M cash to Houston for Harden, Tucker, and McLemore.
Gets Houston out of the tax and some cash, which would clearly be big selling points to Fertitta, plus all the young guys and all the picks.
Harden/Curry/Walton
Green/McLemore/Joe/Mathis*
Korkmaz/Anderson/Ferguson
Simmons/Tucker/Reed*
Embiid/Howard/Bradley/Poirier

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread: 2020 Offseason
Spoiler:
Rockets:
Ben Simmons
Seth Curry
- Rockets ogot the best offer for Harden
Cavs:
Tobias Harris
Shake Milton
Tony Bradley
2021 1st Rounder
- Tobi is younger than Love. Shake Milton fits well with Sexton. Sixers also gives then a 1st round pick in 2021.
Sixers:
James Harden
Kevin Love
Darius Garland
Short term starting 5:
James Harden
Danny Green
Thybulle?
Kevin Love
Embiid
- Klove and Harden have the same age. Sixers becomes the favorite to win it in the short term.
- sixers develops maxey and/or garland, in preparation for the future when Harden declines
- Love and Biid’s salary expires the same year, maybe morey can structure Harden’s salary allowing us to have more than max cap space in offseason of 2023.

Rockets:
Ben Simmons
Seth Curry
Furkan Korkmaz
- Rockets surrounds Ben and Wall with two deadeye shooters with Seth and Korky
- Not only Sixers gives the Rox their “young cornerstone with all NBA talent”, which nobody can match. But they also provide them with the league’s best shooter in terms of 3pt%, with Seth.
Rockets:
John Wall
Seth Curry
Ben Simmons
Christian Wood
Demarcus Cousins
Magic:
Tobias Harris
Shake Milton
Sixers 2021 1st round pick
Sixers 2022 pick swap
- Tobias and Milton fits with what they’re trying to build. Milton was pretty much playing that role Fultz was playing for them in the playoffs.
- Tobias is pretty much what the Magic is hoping for Aaron Gordon to be on offense.
- Milton can play with either Cole Anthony, Fultz or Fournier.
Magic:
Fultz
Shake Milton
Fournier
Tobias Harris
Vucevic
Sixers:
James Harden
Aaron Gordon
Jonathan Isaac
Danuel House
Aminu
- Sixers got Harden then loads up on big wings to match-up against Giannis and KD
- Aaron Gordon provides you with way better spacing than Ben, not saying much as we all know
Sixers Starting 5:
Harden
Danny Green

I mostly like that deal. I think Thybulle would eventually take the job from Green and it's actually possible to do a 3way without including Harris or Green.

Orlando Magic
Acquire: Eric Gordon, Tryrese Maxley, Shake Milton, 1st round pick 2023 (1-20 protected otherwise becomes two second round picks)
Leaves: Aaron Gordon
Sixers:
Acquire: Aaron Gordon, James Harden
Leaves: Tyrese Maxley. Ben Simmons, Mike Scott, Ferguson, Bradley, Poirer, 1st round pick 2021, pick 2021, pick 2023
Rockets:
Acquire: Ben Simmons, Mike Scott, Ferguson, Bradley, Poirer, 1st round pick 2021, 1st round pick 2023 (20-30 protected otherwise becomes two second round picks)
Leaves: Harden, Eric Gordon
Why for the Magic they have been looking to create a spot for Issac to start and have been shopping Aaron all offseason. Having Gordon Milton Maxley and potentially another low first round pick is a terrific return the salary of E. Gordon is less of a deal for them due to their history of having to overpay FA. They create a spot for Issac and fill their biggest need for shooting.
Why for the Sixers: It adds everything they currently lack. The only thing you wish is Gordon shot better from 3 but he can space the floor and he plays elite defense from either the 4 or 3. He has some playmaking. His contract is still reasonable and has two years left. It also allows us to keep Harris, Thybulle, and Green which gives us an excellent bench mixing in scoring and defense. We also keep Curry. With Curry Milton doesn't really have a role.
Why for the Rockets:
They get from under Gordon contract. They get Ben Simmons. They get potentially two first round picks.
C: Embiid
PF: Harris
SF: Aaron Gordon
PG: Thybulle
SG: Harden
Bench:
Green
Curry
Howard
Korkmaz
The other thing is it would still preserve the TPE and MLE if the Sixers wanted to make a deal later for a top bench guy. The only thing is with the Rockets trading for Wall and signing Cousins/Woods I am not sure they want to rebuild. It's a great trade for a club who wants to rebuild but for a club who wants to compete and doesn't have their picks they may pull a Spurs and take the best player rather then the best offer

I love what you just did.
One thing though..
Can you find a way were we dont give up maxey?
My thinking is doing a deal where we can compete now and have a team ready to compete when Harden declines, as a hedge.
I like Maxey to stay because I can see him as the player with the highest chance to be a 2nd or 3rd star behind a 30 year old Embiid and a 35 year old Harden.
My thinking is this..
Short term big 3
Biid-Harden-Tobi (age 28-31)
Medium term and long term
Biid-Harden-AG or Maxey
This way you can have a team that can be competitive until Harden runs out from his supermax contract.
Fans dont talk about this, but no owner would want to pay Harden $50M a year with a team that isnt a contender. Harden can atleast play that Ginobili role. A role he played when he was at OKC. Call it the “Benjamin Button” experience

I’d offer Shake and Poirier (as soon as he can be aggregated) to the Wiz for Troy Brown.
Or maybe a little later in the season if the Wiz are playing well; a deal where they get Danny Green, and the Sixers take back some expirings with Brown (RoLo and Ish works)?

Trading Thybulle would work, too. Brown could be a two way stud in a couple of years. Steal him while you can.

Other than Kobble hyping him up, there's really no basis for believing this is a reasonably likely outcome. He hasn't shown to be a good defender and his offensive efficiency improved from impossibly awful in year 1 to just regular bad in year 2.

There was more to his game in college that hasn't been shown in the pros. I tend to believe it is because the Wiz really haven't used him properly. Granted it's probably an outlier outcome that he becomes a "two way stud", but I'd gamble on the upside and start him on the Sixers right now with Ben, Jo, Green, and Milton. That is also obviously weighted by my opinion of the other players on the Sixers.

- this also frees up more PT for Isaac at PF
Magic:
Fultz
Shake Milton
Fournier
Jonathan Isaac
Vucevic
Bulls:
Tobias Harris
Sixers 2021 1st rounder
- Bulls find a gem in Patrick Williams while Markanen is looking like a flop
- Giannis has signed his supermax, bulls has no incentive to create a big cap space
Bulls starting 5:
Coby White
Zach Lavine
Patrick Williams
Tobias Harris
Wendel Carter
^ thats a really good starting 5
Sixers:
James Harden
Aaron Gordon
Otto Porter
- Sixers got Harden then loads up on big wings to match-up against Giannis and KD
- defensive wings: Otto Porter, Danny Green, Gordon, Thybulle and Ferguson.
- Aaron Gordon provides you with way better spacing than Ben, not saying much as we all know.
- Sixers below the cap by around 25M in 2021 offseason
Sixers Starting 5:
Harden
Danny Green
Otto Porter
Aaron Gordon
Embiid
Ben Simmons
Magic:
8.5 expiring (Mike Scott, Tony Bradley, Poirier)
8M trade exemption
Shake Milton
Danuel House
- Milton can play with either Cole Anthony, Fultz or Fournier.

Tobias and pick for Conley or Kemba.
Or Tobias for rozier and flip Zeller to a third team.
Either was we need more scoring, space and creation. Tobias is not cutting it. Simmons is a point 4.
Embiid/ Howard
Simmons
Green/Thybulle/
Shake/ Curry.
*******/ Maxey

Still on the Bulls train.
Lavine + Porter for Tobias + Furkan + Matisse + pick(s)
Simmons/Maxey
Lavine/Milton
Green
Porter
Embiid/Howard
Get Tucker for the exception and some roster fodder. Turn Seth into a versatile switchable vet wing that can defend and shoot a bit and that's your playoff roto.

Lavine is going to be as hard as getting Harden.
Lavine is not as good as Harden but Bulls is not looking to trade Lavine. That said, you have to offer them a Harden package to get Lavine.

Not now, his value is higher than ever. This is under the impression that the Bulls are once again spinning their wheels and trending towards another high lottery pick - like last year when he said this
Him and Coby should score a tonne of points though this year.
