Do you think Denver needs an extra guy to get over the hump? Will Masai/Denver deal with each other?

Lowry + Powell + OG

for

MPJ + Gary Harris + Barton + RJ Hampton

Is there enough upside in MPJ to turn into a star? Will FVV and Flynn be able to handle the PG situation in Toronto?

FVV
Harris
Siakam
MPJ
Baynes

Murray
Lowry
OG
Millsap
Jokic

Toronto sends 3 first rounders to Houston. Philly sends 1 first rounder and 1 second rounder to Houston.

Why Toronto does it:
Gets them back on track to competitor status. Will have a chance to compete for Chip in 2022 when they can fill out roster.

Why Houston does it:
Market appears to be pretty cool for Harden due to age, physical conditioning and attitude issues.
Rumours have it Brooklyn, Philly, Milwaukee and Miami are not putting together very good packages.

4 first round picks and enough depth to stay in the playoffs this year. A couple very good young pieces with room to improve in OG and TD.

Why Philly does it:
Addition of Lowry and Gordon makes them a legit contender this year, plus they shed Harris contract.

Toronto rotation:
Fred
Harden
Tucker
Pascal
Baynes
Flynn
Thomas
Bembry
Scott
Boucher

Houston rotation:
Wall
House
OG
Harris
Cousins
Norm
TD
Nwaba
Bruno
Wood

Philly rotation:
Kyle
Gordon
Thybule
Simmons
Embiid
Milton
Korkmaz
Curry
Green
Howard

How do we feel about Drummond ?? Is he worth a max contract on our team.

Drummond / Pascal / OG / FVV / Lowry ??

Just throwing some stuff out there

no, I don't think Drummond is worth anywhere near a max. I feel like C is the one position where you really need to be cap conscious in the modern NBA. If you blow capspace on a top-level C without already having a superstar on your team, or at the very least multiple players on below-market deals that are excellent shooters, you will be headed nowhere fast. I would even make the same argument to avoid targeting Gobert as well, as good as he is defensively. Spend half as much capspace (or less) on a capable rebounder/defender and utilize those savings elsewhere.

No. Drummond isn't a FA you sign to the max, now. i mean he's only 26/27 but I think he is more of a complimentary player right now more than anything.

Raptors, if signing a max FA, need to be a more rounded player that can excel in scoring in ISO/set defenses. Its the one thing Raptors are missing right now.

Raptors 1 piece away. Max level free agent who is a starter and is an excellent ISO scorer.

Not gonna lie, Drummond looking really nice this year. Certainly not giving him the max, but I don’t think you’d have to. His passing looks excellent, and let’s see if this 3 point shot is actually any good.

Drummond for anything near the max would be incredibly stupid

ya a 20-10 player is not what they used to be anymore. would have automatically been a max contract in the 1990s/ early 2000s.

For sure, his raw numbers are nice but his actual impact isn’t near max worthy

What about Powell and Stanley for Rudy Gay rental and 2021 2nd pick? Frees up a roster spot and Gay can be a backup forward.

PG Lowry - Flynn - TD
SG FVV - Thomas/TD
SF OG - Bembry - Watson/McCaw
PF Siakam - Gay - Boucher
C Baynes - Boucher/Len

NDP-CD: Harris and Watanabe

I’d do it. Not sure why the Spurs would.

Gay is older and expiring. Powell being younger may want get him for the re-tool. They should also flip Derozan and Aldridge as they are also both expiring.

Houston says no. Norm is an expiring. Tobias Harris is one of the worst contracts in the league and they have Wood as a forward who seems promising and is much cheaper. TD/OG is nice but these guys are still unproven and look like rotational players at best.

Here me out here.. I think taking a flyer on KP could be good gamble. We're not attracting any free agents and we have a glaring hole at center. If KP can stay healthy, a big combination of him and PS is quintessential in today's league. Both can play solid defense and has an inside/outside game.

The question here, is if Dallas is willing to trade KP for role players albeit solid ones. Honestly, I they'd have better success playing the free agency market trying to pair a star with Luka then continuing to pay KP's contract with how injury prone he is. Dude can't be relied upon to play a whole season and playoff run (something the Raps will need to gamble on). Main value here for Dallas is freeing up cap space to sign a star which shouldn't be a problem with Luka.

Clips accept this trade in a heartbeart.

Prefer a trade like this then giving up our whole farm for Harden. I think we 're content with our guards and forwards, we just need a solid big.

That is a terrible trade for Dallas. Only way they would do it is if KP has a serious medical issue.
