Romeo's been injured, so it's not like he's had any serious chance to improve his game in the offseason. He may show serious improvement in the future, but I don't think it will happen this season.

NBA GMs don't think much of the Boston Celtics this season. Celtics hardly mentioned at all in the annual GM survey other than Brad Stevens.

Tatum got a vote for most versatile player and Tristan a vote for most underrated offseason acquisition. But yes, underwhelming. Keep underrating us, bitches!

At this point, a fully healthy Romeo all year would be a completely different Romeo.

Celtics were voted 4th on "Which team has the most promising young core?" behind New Orleans, Memphis (really?), and Atlanta.

Get ready for a lot of Teague pick and rolls, Smart postups, Brown isos. Recipe for winning games before Kemba comes back is elite defense, transition offense, and hopefully some lucky shooting nights overall.

I hope the first month or so let people who want to ship out Kemba so bad realize how valuable he is to the offense. Unless he's shipped out for another dynamic player who can create off the dribble, we need him on this roster despite his injury issues until we see some major leap from brown or smart in half-court shot creation.

More like Smart 3 ball chucking

Interesting to see how Smart looks as a legit 3rd option. Celtics would surely need more offense from him, but not necessarily by chucking 10 3s a game.

All these years in the league and his decision making when taking shots is still putrid. Brad not reigning him in is also frustrating

I cannot for the life of me find a reason to keep Ojeleye!

Can someone set me straight, please?

He's cheap and can hit some corner threes in the regular season. SHould ideally be like the 11th man or so in minutes played this year. I don't like him either, and would have rather devoted the spot to a younger player with more upside, but whatever. As long as I don't have to see him in the post season I couldn't really care less.

The hope is Jaylen improves enough soon that when we stagger the starters and he has to play without Tatum, the team at least has its head above water with him leading the charge. I'm not too optimistic.

Can we stay above .500 while Kemba is out?

When I get overzealous about our title chances, I remember the last time we won a banner we had these three HOFers. I look at our current roster then reset my expectations (for a day or until our next win).

If Semi gets any minutes opening night, you know you haven't had a great offseason.

There has been no time to actually make big strides in development and he's been recovering for most of that time. He still won't be a good shooter but Brad will simply put him in a 3&D role and we gonna talk how Langford looks like another wasted pick. The guy was a ball handler in college.

I wonder if we will have any interest in T.J. Leaf?

He had his moments with the Pacers. But his stats don’t look at good. Probably not a decent option, even for an end of the bench guy.

Im not worried after 2 "preseason games" ...we will be a really good team when all healthy.

Looks like Brad will go with bubble starting 5 minus Thies replaced by Thompson.

Than we are more than ok with bench of 2 veterans of Teague and Theis, high IQ player G.Williams and 2 young guys with Langford and Nesmith.

Timelord and Prichard round out a really solid 12 man team.
