Coming to you in February. I'm just going to keep pushing this theory.

I believe you were also on the Ingram side, over Ben’s, during the 2016 draft right?

Which theory btw

Shooting will determine who’s going to be better between the two.

Yes, I was because of my fear that Ben would never shoot, which came true. I also didn’t think Ben would be as good of a defender as he has, which really changed the mathematics on my evaluation of prospects.

My theory is that Houston is going to entertain all these East trade rumors but in the end will wait till Feb when a bunch of Pelicans become eligible for trade (Ingram and Kira notably) and jump on that deal plus a ton of picks, which the Pelicans happen to have.

I think all of these discussions are smoke to get the most out of NOLA when the time comes. Just my hot take theory.

My 3 proud moments before an NBA draft.
1.) calling wiggins is a bust when everybody was overhyping him. I even created a thread for this
2.) going to the suns board and tell them to not draft Ayton first overall and select Luka instead.
3.) having Ingram over Ben. At that point I went away from my “atleast 10BPM” bench mark and prioritized the importance of 3s and deflections.

Anyway, on one of you previous post, now it makes sense that you were talking about the Zion Harden pairing. At first I thought you were talking about pairing Ben and Harden.

Yup, I think Harden to NOLA makes a lot of sense. NOLA can turn the package they received from LA into Harden.

Are we going to see the singular brilliance of Steph Curry this year? I think he can drag that roster to the WCF.

Where does idea of ‘militaristic‘ culture come from? By all accounts they have the same sort of culture as Brett Brown’s teams, everyone’s expected to show up and work and respect each other. Never heard they have excessive workouts or that people are held accountable in extreme ways.

Its been reported that they have a “militaristic culture”. The kind of culture that doesnt tolerate Harden’s lifestyle. The kind of culture that thrives in the bubble thats why teams say the Heat were a fluke.

I despised Steph during the 2015-2019 dynasty run. I guess him being out so much last year and the Warriors bottoming out humbled my view because he is incredible and the league suffers when he is not playing not just in the playoffs but even through the winter. Also the cornrows look bad ass. Still can't stand the Warriors as a team, but I'm happy he's back.

The parallels to Kanye are striking. LeBron and Jay-Z must have had hilarious conversations.

You just know that the Heat looked at him like "dude you're 6'9 and can dribble like a guard, we're going to force you to be decent".

It's really devastating how Durant is still a freak at scoring. I don't know why I'd expect anything else.

I hope he exorcised the ghost of Auerbach and they start to suck.
