It's Hollinger's new metric, which is a metric of metrics.

Basically, it's a combination of PIPM, RAPTOR (538's metric), and PER.

Otherwise known as Torturing Numbers and claiming it's statistical analysis/Science.

Michael Crichton (yes, that Michael Crichton) did a piece on this phenomenon. Where the more complex scientific and mathematical models are, the more people believe them, but in reality, the more horsesh** they are.

Is Ersan retiring or where’s he at?

Not sure if / when we’d legally be able to bring him back but every time we thought we were done with him before he kept pulling us back in.

it wouldnt surprise me if we have some deal worked out with him to stay in shape and join us midseason if hes living here still. i think we have enough money left for a guy to pick up at the deadline and i could see us making a promise

Thought this was an interesting in depth article on Buck's jersey patches (Harley Davidson patch deal expired) and Giannis's effect on new sponsorship deal.

This is Bud's make or bust year.
A playoff team that has performances of Boston series Midds, Portland series Jrue and regular season Giannis loses from no one.
These players have it in them. They just need to be coached right. I have faith. I think Bud knows this. It remains to be seen if he actually can do it.

He will be fired if we go into the post season at full strength and don't at least reach the finals. And he should be.

Anyway, I'm glad we didn't trade for Bogdanovic due to his subpar BORG, and also his middling SCHLONK rating. Please don't get me started on his hard/soft CORN splits.

Middling Schlonk? :wavefinger:

If we don't make the Finals, both Bud and Horst should be fired out of a cannon.

Actually... if we have a slow start to the season, and are losing games because of things that have caused us problems in the playoffs like a stagnant offense with no direction, and letting the other team fire away nonstop 3's, Bud should be fired at that point.

Well, times are changing (for the better) and I don't have any problems with people that do, but I can't see myself ever embracing a SCHLONK (why is it capitalised) :o

I really want Oladipo. I think if we add him in a possible 3 way trade with Brook and DDV going out+ we are easy favorites. Portis can play the 4 and maybe we can get a guy as a buyout to play the 4 and 5 backup.

Jrue
Dipo
Midds
Portis
Giannis

Roll with G at the 5, force him to work on his post game and stay within himself.

Don't think he's a fit, that roster would have a lot of spacing issues, and Oladipo is too ball dominant to be a fit with Giannis if we already have Jrue.

What is the buy-out market like this year? Feel we would be top candidates with a guaranteed rotational spot and a top-heavy roster.

You don't lose shooting going from DDV/Brook to Dipo/Portis in your starting 5.

We're hard capped, and you're well short of s legal deal. I also don't like it because it kills our depth.

Do we really think these numbers are indicative of anything? I don't, pretty sure Khris will still be one of the best shooters on the planet, and the others will follow suit.

i need to know an update of what were even capable of with our gauranteed contracts and being hardcapped. can we even dip into the buyout crowd without moving a guy like wilson first?
