This is from the little story posted on RealGm about which players GMs would want to start a team with:
Leading Vote Percentage By Year
2020: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic (tied, 43.0)
2019: Giannis Antetokounmpo (86.0)
2018: Giannis Antetokounmpo (30.0)
2017: Karl-Anthony Towns (29.0)
2016: Karl-Anthony Towns (48.3)
2015: Anthony Davis (86.2)
2014: LeBron James (50.0)
2013: LeBron James (89.7)
2012: LeBron James (80.0)
2011: LeBron James, Kevin Durant (tied 37.0)
2010: Kevin Durant (55.6)
2009: LeBron James (78.6)

The picks of Karl-Anthony Towns didn't age well.

Durant being as close to 100% as he can be is our biggest concern in the east.

Bogdan probably looks more like a no defense chucker on a team like the Hawks. For us, a good fit.

we got bryn forbes for that role...and at a price that roles worth
Got my money on Merill to be our Bogdan. People will laugh but Sam can play and shoot it with the best of them.

Did you really just post a lineup with the starting 2 guard being JR Smith?

Our actual management posted a lineup with the starting 2 guard being Tony Snell.

Not laughing, he can definitely play. The only issue is the moment he starts to become a problem a smart coach will target him on D to force us to take him out. JJ Redick had to work his ass off to get to the level of conditioning that allows him to at least be playable on both ends, and still in the play offs they target him in every single play.

The sage thing on its own would not be on my radar (someone on Reddit found an old article that Jaylen Brown carries sage with him - whatever). Maybe something to laugh at if you think it's weird or you don't get it or whatever. But when it comes to Kyrie, it's another of many...things...with him.

Kyrie is more amusing than anything else, I’m not sure if he’s in on the joke or not but he’s a genius if he is. Glad he’s not on my team but one of most interesting & entertaining personalities in the league.

I'm starting to come around to the camp that Kyrie is in on the joke. That's not to say he's not an odd bird but some of this is just too on the nose.

Cole Anthony is going to be the best player from this class. Kid is a stud. My ROY prediction.

Gobert's deal is banking on Mitchell being the player we saw in the bubble playoffs more than Gobert himself. Because yeah, Utah's locked-into this team now.

I'm cool with it. Energy is real. For decades all players say is the ball finds energy. For as "eccentric" as people think Kyrie is, he actually represents a large subset of people who no longer follow a conventional American approach to how we are "supposed" to behave. I wouldn't be surprised if Kyrie has his best season.
