I don't know, something about the g-league guys just screams "tunnel vision" to me. Everybody except the point guard seems to be 1-dimensional. I guess we have to see full game footage and stats to see how they really play. dunk and straight line drive highlights can be so deceiving.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Sure does. By the way, there was no overstatement about it - next year’s lottery is going to be excellent.

There's alot of solid SGs I would like to get if we could somehow get another pick in that late teen 20 range this year.

Doubtful we can get another pick but Weaver is a aggressive guy so who knows.

Out of all the prospects I've watched, Suggs has the biggest "It" factor by far. He's so dynamic, can shoot, has incredible court vision and plays good defense.

Cunningham might have had more polish coming into this season but Suggs potential is immense.

with our 0-4 start i just started looking at the top prospects and would rank them:

Suggs
Cunningham
Mobley

Suggs just seem to have everything you want. super skilled, heady, unselfish. reportedly a high character guy. he's not an elite athlete but he's definitely athletic enough and has a good frame for a PG (6'4, 6'5 wingspan and a decent build) that he shouldn't be a mismatch defensively. he could play either beside hayes or have hayes come off the bench and run that unit.

cunningham is a good prospect and i might rank him first by draft time but right now i just like suggs chances of being the next lillard than cunningham being the next tatum (or whoever).

mobley obviously has all the potential in the world but i feel like the athletic, skilled 7 footers that have gone early in recent years (ayton, wiseman, bagley, jaren jackson, etc.) are hit and miss. they can all put up stats but it takes so long before you get an idea if they'll be effective defenders, and ideally you don't want your #1 option offensively to be a center. you want someone who is a threat from anywhere on the court, can manipulate the defense because of that pressure and then make plays for others out of that.

this is a stacked class so i'm going to have fun this year looking at prospects, especially since we'll likely have a top 5 pick :D

Do we have the Raptors 2and rounder this year? I noticed Tankathon has us picking at the 32nd pick this year.

I've been doing alot of researching since I'm expecting a good pick. Seems like right now theirs at least 5 guys who would of been number 1 picks last season. Cade,Suggs,Mobley,Green, and Kuminga. I'd be happy with any of them. I think thats the 5 elite talents right now and more might sneak into this level as time goes on. Cade is number 1 but that could change even.

Kuminga and Green arent being talked about as much because their not in the NCAA. Greens a 6'6 freak athlete and people are calling him Kobe light. Kuminga is going to be the youngest kid in the draft hes 6'8 and has looked good in the Gleague scrims hes another big time athlete. As with many of the big athletic young guys these guys still have to work on shooting. Its easy to like what were seeing with Suggs/Mobley/Cade but the prize of the draft might turn out being one of these high upside athletic freaks we shall see.

I like Green the most he just has that it factor imo but he may be a little undersized. I think Mobley may end up going #1

6'6 is the same height as MJ and Kobe. D.Wade was 6'4. Though a 6'7 wing span isnt ideal. These guys all had a 6'11 wingspan. This might limit him as a defender compared to some of these guys. Green is also still growing though. He might even be 6'8 when its all said and done.

So happy that were bad enough to be looking at prospects at this level. Sucks sitting back in that 8-12 range and praying for lotto ball to save us. This season even if we get screwed we should be 4 or 5.

I think he is closer to 6'4 they always list these guys taller than they really are also think Cade isnt 6'8. Still like them tho

Yeah Same with Kobe though. Kobes wife measured him and he was 6'4. Basically, everyone is universally listed taller than they are. Even in high school football my brother was listed bigger then he was haha. So not really worth worrying about that. Also like I said hes still going to grow.
