Jared Butler had a 13AST/1TO game today

really liked him for the 2020 draft but he returned to school. this season he's getting more on-ball opportunities and is now averaging 6.4 assists, up from 3.1 last season

I need to see Suggs running things on his own in half court sets more to push him ahead of Cade or Mobley...and I still expect Green to cement himself as Cade's primary competition for the top spot...but god damn does Suggs look good.

Hard to really go wrong in this draft, regardless of what you need from your top pick

I love the way Ziaire just used the shooting gravity created by him stepping back, to feed da Silva for the easy score. That's the IQ that makes me want to see Stanford running more of their offense through him; he's already their best passer.

EDIT:
If we do get Suggs/Cade with our pick, let's just trade up for Ziaire...or Kuminga, or Boston...and finish our rebuild in one swoop

Kentucky is really bad this year. Boston and/or Clark might be there at the mavs pick

Ziaire only finished with 16 points on 5/11 shooting -- 3/5 from 3 and 3/4 from the line -- with 2 rebounds, but he picked up 4 assists to only 2 turnovers and looked a lot more fluid/quick than he was to start the season...while continuing to look like a very high IQ team-player despite that offense still not running through him.

He was too unselfish & passed on a couple of shots that he should've taken, still needs to fill out, and Stanford NEEDS to let him run more PnRs; but some team is going to be thrilled to draft this kid...including us; as he looks like he'd be the perfect 3 to pair with RJ, Mitch & Obi on both ends of the court.

EDIT:
Kuminga is bigger, stronger, going to have the more impressive draft season...unless Stanford goes point-Ziaire...and a more freakish athlete, but I don't think he's nearly as smart of a playmaker or going to have the same kind of shooting gravity off the ball. Won't be surprised if he's the better iso scorer early in their careers, but I think Ziaire will be better at scoring within the flow of an offense and better at creating for his team-mates while they learn; with a similar realistic-ceiling as a go-to scorer.

I'd absolutely love Kuminga & I get why some folks think he's a safer bet to become a star at the next level, but Ziaire's game just feels like such a natural fit alongside our young core & his path to stardom feels very achievable.

Hollinger projected the Knicks for 18 wins and the worst record in the league.

I think we'll do a little better but challenge for the worst. RJ looks better than his models are likely accounting for. If Quickley is for real it could be in the higher 20s.

If these kids are legit then 31-41 is our record. If not, then probably 14-58 and finish with the worst record

Jalen Green's jumper looking stupid smooth... Jeez. If he's a legit pull up threat, then he's a special prospect.

Hollinger can also suck my azz. Don't listen to anything that dude says regarding the Knicks. Also don't let him run your franchise unless you like ruining good teams :D

If we screw ourselves over once again and pick in the 8-10 range, give me James Bouknight. Dude's stock will continue to rise and is probably the sleeper of the draft right now. He reminds me of Jamal Murray but he's a better athlete. Insane body control and an explosive leaper. He had 40/5/2 with five triples against Creighton this afternoon.

Kid is awesome. Can’t wait to match more, but curious if he is more Jamal Murray or Jerome Robinson...

He's another kid I like but not that high. Between the top 4 (Cade, Green, Mobley & Suggs); the elite wings (Kuminga / Ziaire / Boston) & the playmaking PFs (Barnes & Jalen Johnson); you've already got 9 prospects that Bouknight will have a tough time surpassing.

He's more in that late lotto mix with the Tennessee guards (Springer & Keon Johnson), Moody, Clarke, Christopher, Garuba, Brown, etc...and I think if anyone from that group solidifies themselves as top 10 picks in this class it'll be one of the UT guards because both have really interesting potential if their shooting comes along, or Moody as a plug-n-play 3&D guy.

Age makes things murky but I'm not sold on Boston or Ziare or Jalen Johnson over him yet but that's because I think Bouknight's playmaking potential is greater than many scouts think, though he is up to #10 in a few mocks. I know those players are the consensus choice over him right now but I need to see more. Bouk will probably end up going in the 11-15 range but teams make mistakes every year. I do really like Keon Johnson.
