I'm giving Okeke a pass. This is his first live action in almost two full years. He's been hesitant and rusty at times, but there's been really good flashes too.

He can shoot. He can pass. The rest of it will come around eventually.

In context.. yup bear in mind, Chuma hasn't played competitive basketball in probably almost 2 years. Plus he came off and ACL injury/surgery and that makes you somewhat hesitant.

I think I can reserve judgement until he has hi mind and body back into it in say.. January. Because so far, I didn't see the accolades that he had like quick and strong to guard 3 or 4 positions, athletic and can score in a variety of ways etc etc

It's way too early to make any definitive statements about him. The shot looks good. You could tell that he was trying to be assertive. He attacked the basket a few times, but that didn't go well for the most part. He was underwhelming at the defensive end and he does look undersized for a four, so he might just not have the tools to be impactful as a help defender. I'm reluctant to write him off because there are undersized guys that are good help defenders. It's just a lot easier for a guy his size to protect the paint in college and it doesn't always translate. He is just really limited overall. We will have to see how much of his athleticism bounces back as time passes. If he can screen and pop, he should be able to provide some offensive value. The ball seldom sticks in his hands, which is nice.
"Xatticus has always been, in my humble opinion best poster here. Should write articles or something."

David Steele even mentioned several times where Chuma Okeke would play defense on all 5 players on the same possession because he was having to overcover blown assignments and several points he was playing solid defense 1v2. I think he will be a very good defender, just a different kind than Isaac.

He's an amazing ability to switch and read a defense. Cliff is probably playing the film of him to show the other guys how to do it.

I wouldn't read too much into his offense yet. I think once he settles in he'll be more comfortable taking his shots. Toppin is 6 months older didn't have a great shooting preseason either.

Not worried about Okeke, he is a solid defender, and had a few good passes. His shots will fall.
