However, let’s say for the sake of argument that they did. What would be the punishment? On the GB, some people are saying kawhi’s contract would be voided. Do you guys think it would really come to that?

I would say the Clippers have a pretty strong argument against the league voiding the contract. What was more instrumental in getting Kawhi to the Clippers, this guy or the haul of draft picks they gave up to get Paul George?

Seems like guy felt he was more instrumental than he really was.

I know the league will want to be thorough considering the allegations but how long can we expect this to take?

It’s funny. The investigation into Leonard’s uncle was right before the start of last season. A distraction for the team I’m sure. Nothing found.

Now the investigation into West and Clippers right before the start of this season. My bet is Lue will keep it from being a distraction.

The league has been looking into this since Wednesday at the latest. For Silver to comment that he has seen nothing illegal makes me believe this Wilkes guy has nothing.

Who is going to be investigated right before next season?

Between this and the Bucks/Bogdanovic situation earlier in the offseason, it really does feel like the NBA is telling its perceived "low-tier" franchises to stop trying to compete with their marquee teams.

And they wonder why ratings are plummeting and why so many people think the league is rigged. :noway:

Those first two guys didn't have Uncle Dennis along for the ride.

It sure is interesting how Uncle Dennis is considered problematic but Klutch Sports is totally normal.

Not so fast my friend.. The fallout from Shaq leaving Orlando to LA was so bad that it caused the restricted free agent rule to come about. Back then you could draft a player and turn them into a star and once their rookie deal expired they were free to go where ever they pleased and their original team couldn't even match the offer.

-Also how about when Jerry West was a part of the Grizzles front office and he gave a prime Pau Gasol to his old pals the Lakers for Kwame Brown. That was litterally the crime of the century. If they were going to get Jerry West on something that would've been the time imo.

Actually Jerry wasn't part of the Grizz front office when that trade happened. And why would you leave out Marc Gasol who turned into a multiple time all-star and defensive player of the year? He was a key player in the Pau trade. The Grizz got two first round picks, Marc Gasol for all of his best years, Kwame, two other players in addition to cap space that allowed them to add another all star in Zach Randolph. That was more than fair. The Grizz ended up with two all star players from that deal

Grizz GM Chris Wallace:

"Not only did we pick up Marc, that salary cap room was later used to trade into with the Clippers for Zach Randolph. At one time when we first got into the playoffs, the 2010-11 season, we had seven to nine players on the team that, if you traced their roots how they got to Memphis, you could trace to that deal."

Uncle Dennis was the one asking the various teams for illegal incentives and payments. He's a trainwreck.

If you don't think Klutch is pulling shady crap behind the scenes, you're delusional. The media just doesn't have any interest in doing actual journalism on their precious Lakers even though it stinks to high heaven.

Yes they got Marc Gasol but he didn't come into the picture til years later and he wasn't really projected to be that good of a player. And Zack was damn near a vagabond player who we let go when we drafted Blake Griffin, which is part of the beef they had when we played the Grizz. He caught a second wind in Memphis and became an all star. True things turned out good for the Grizz way down the line but non of that was planned or in their plans. They just happened to run into some luck.

Marc wasn't projected to be good by who? Obviously the Grizz liked him and they ended up being right. Bottom line is the trade worked out well for both teams.
