And yet, Patrick seems to have improved during his time off.

I’m not sure Patrick has all that much.

Are we really? lol Its his first game at any pro level. No Summer, no preseason.

We did the same for Patrick, Hayes, Ball, Okoro, Avdija, etc. And that was for preseason games.

Not only drafting 3 HOFers but also being able to find role players that would fit said HOFers. Guys like Bowen, Green, Diaw, Mills, Splitter come to mind. Tho to be fair, the Spurs has been bad the last few years with their signings and trades.

Eh have they? How long a run of success can you have?

The 14-19 drafts have actually been pretty bad on the whole. I think Derrick White and DeJounte were very solid #29 picks.

Keldon and Lonnie Walker are nothing, but you look at those previous 2 drafts and they're really full of zero-impact players.

The only pop thing I have an issue with is the Kawhii trade and maybe a couple of signings. Instead of rebuilding he got DeRozan to try to sneak into the playoffs. It wasn't good value. DeRozan has been meh for a couple of years till that point. I would have liked him to get a package to rebuild with.

Between having to watch the Warriors and listen to CWebb, I'm done with Game #1. Full credit to the Nets, though, they are loaded.

Fair , though SAS wasn’t exactly in a great situation. Kawhi was Expiring, and the injury wasn’t clear. Plus LAL was a classic under-the-belt trader and Pop’s nemesis. LAC didn’t have much to offer or add Kawhi to (CP3 was gone and it seemed like a tank). And with expiring, injured status, proclaiming he’s basically signing in LA, it was a dead-end trade. The bigger problem was sitting on DeRozan and thinking Poetl was worth a penny.

Of course you don’t make firm conclusions after G1, but opening day is usually pretty telling (anyone remember the Hinrich/Tyrus Bulls whipping the defending champion Heat so hard? Yeah, it continued into a 1st round sweep). Of course Draymond’s out, but at this point, he’s not making this team a contender. He might help them save face.

GSW are probably gonna soft rebuild. Wiseman is gonna be a rough fit for Curry.

GS could have 2 top 10 picks and get Klay back.

CWebb really is the worst commentator in basketball.

The corniest jokes ever. Such bad jokes, they’re not even funny in a stupid way. And his sleepy tone.

I’d rather listen to Richard Jefferson color commentate. Hell, Tim Duncan.

If the Lakers play the Nets in the finals, who do you want to win? Bulls fans typically dislike LeBron more than most fanbases. However, Kyrie and Durant are just sooo freaking unlikeable. I'd choose the Lakers.

I feel like the "get Klay back" anywhere close to where he was before narrative is more pipe-dream than anything at this point. Will believe it when I see it - don't think we're ever getting back the dynasty Warriors as we knew them before.

Meh, give it to the city of Brooklyn. Share the fun. LA has won enough.

A proper Durant-Lebron rematch with older age and more balanced rosters should be nice to watch.

Yeah, it would be a cool matchup. I'd prefer to see Giannis take down the Nets, but I'd take Nets vs Lakers

Giannis is not beating this nets team imo. I personally don't think he getting past the heat either. Until giannis can shoot he will continue to go home in the playoffs

Wiseman’s got the potential to pan out, but my immediate problem is he’s gonna wanna play with the ball in his hands while not being efficient or defensively dominant enough to warrant it. Like Lauri, why bother having a solid shooting big, when any run-of-mill SF like Terrance Ross or Otto Porter can shoot a hell of a lot better off the dribble? He doesn’t move gracefully. His awareness off-the-ball is slow. Made me think of a chunkier, less skilled KAT & Ayton camp. Good floor and he will get in better shape though.

Wiseman drips talent. He’s got a long way to go to get polished, but no doubt he’s got special athleticism and length even by NBA standards.

Impossible to root for LeBron. Impossible.
Turn down for what?
