Tom Thibodeau hinted that Elfrid Payton and Alec Burks will be in the starting lineup for Wednesday's opener vs. the Pacers.
Thibs said he still hasn't officially decided who will start tomorrow night, but he mentioned the leadership of Payton and Burks, and we all know how much Thibs hates rookies. It sounds like Payton will start over Immanuel Quickley on opening night, and given Thibs history with rookies, we suspect it'll be hard for Quickley to get into the Knicks rotation this season. Marc Berman of The Post stipulated that RJ Barrett, Julius Randle and Nerlens Noel will comprise the rest of the starting five on Wednesday.
