It seems to be many people wrote the Clippers off this season.

This might be a side effect of their collapse last postseason. People will swing too much in the other direction after hyping them last year.

Kawhi did not forget how to play basketball. They still have a lot of talent (in some areas better talent too than last year). I would not underestimate them.

So, Wes left the Bucks to be a bench player in the Lakers for a minimum contract?

Lakers must think this game is part of the ring ceremony.

They're gonna be awesome just like last year, but I still think their flaw of not enough high IQ decision makers/playmakers will eventually bite them in the ass when it matters. If Batum turns back the clock and is even remotely close to prime Batum that'll help, but outside of that its still a problem for them

They'd be unstoppable with a Kyle Lowry trade imo

The really needed an upgrade at point guard. Might be their only weakness but it's a pretty dramatic one. Rondo would've been huge for them.

I agree on all your points. I also think they need much better coaching.

However, they have the building blocks for a very good contender team. Also they have the additional motivation from what happened last postseason, which for some teams is a big factor.

We shall see. The West is not that open as some might think.

(Also I don't believe the addition of Gason will help the Lakers as much as they might hope).

I mean if the Lakers want a barely used DJ Wilson I'd gladly take Wes back.

I like their current roster quite a bit more than their team last year. Ibaka is a great fit compared to Harrell or Zubac because of his shooting, and he's a much better defender than Harrell. Getting a great shooter and smart overall player in Kennard was a great move. Batum could be a useful glue guy if he can stay healthy.

They should be able to put together some very solid lineups for the final 5-6 minutes of games.

'Dennis Schroeder's defensive identity'.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
