Zu got 28 minutes @+17, Ibaka 21 minutes @minus-8.

Zu was the only one who showed up in shape for The Bubble and the only one who exceeded expectations. Man, did he run the floor tonight!

But you gotta give Trez his due too. 17-10-3 on 6-7 shooting. Those are real numbers. I never dissed Zu--it was that Trez earned his stripes and his PT and his 6MOY and neither can play the 4.

I may have missed it--did Ibaka and Zu play together tonight?

Trez may have had a good night on offense but he blew most of his defensive assignments and was always out of place.

Yeah I think Trez got Zu a stretch in the third when fatigue hit. Think he caught his second wind and adjusted and made it difficult the rest of the way. I give this round to Zu. Ibaka and Zu didn’t get that time together yet.

AD will help cover a lot of Harrell’s mistakes but Gasol has to play better so it’s not a full game thing

PG was awesome-MVP like tonight. If he can be consistent I wouldn't mind this being his team actually
Kawhi started to put it together towards the end which was good.
Good games from Pat Bev, Zu, Lou Will, and Batum
Not a good night for Kennard but I see him improving as the season progress
Sit Pat Patterson and Reggie for good and give their minutes to Mann and Kabengele

Ty Lue came to coach this team. Nice test to see if we'd buckle under the pressure when the game got close like we did in the bubble. It didn't happen which is a strong positive moving forward

I predicted the douchebagging of Ty
and the douchebagging of Doc on TONIGHT'S game thread
Doc is GONE

read your own board OG
Mr. "Moderator"

I predicted everything that happened
read the first half of the game thread

oh BTW

Doc Rivers is in Philadelphia
and the Clippers won

if you won't leash the animals in the game threads
at least lead by example[/quote]

og15 wrote:Do you want me to give you a prize for that?

well yes

actually I wanted you to do something to head it off

og15 wrote: We all knew that would happen, it's a pattern around fan bases, where there are fans who always want to blame coaches, nothing new, there are Spurs fans if you go on their forums who used to diss Pop all the time.

We all knew what would happen? And yet you let it happen again this year--even after being warned and knowing it would happen?? I hoped the new moderator would actually moderate and yet you did nothing.

If you won't do your job as moderator and leash the animals, at least step in at the beginning of the game thread as a member of our community and lead by example.

You're not the [unpaid] cop here--you're the mayor.

og15 wrote:None of what you are saying erases the fact that you complain about threads being hijacked, yet you contribute to the problem by baiting the people who you feel will hijack the thread, it's called pot meet kettle. Don't complain about it and then go ahead and contribute to it, then complain about it at the same time, it's like a self inflicted cycle of doom

This was a great Clippers win and you let the vulture turn the game thread into garbage from the first--JUST as I predicted and BEFORE I ever commented--so don't blame me, brother.

You get no prize tonight. Moving ahead, be the mayor.

securing a win against the lakers in what could've been a doc rivers-esque collapse will probably give lue all the respect he needs from the team.

very good start to the season.

Good job by PG. Nice statement and a big win to turn the tables from last year's disappointment.
Read thread from start to finish.

Thread didn't get ruined until folks started going back and forth with OG trying to police other posters.

Perfectly fine reading someone criticize Lou. What's worse is reading someone criticizing someone for criticizing Lou.

Kennard passed up way to many open looks but I liked his passing. He needs to get more selfish with his game scoring wise. Good game but holy damn is he bad and slow on defense more times that not lol. Has to get much sharper in that area

I hear you but there are 4 other guys out on the floor. Trez will never be the defensive QB like DeAndre fashioned himself to be. Indeed, Trez will NEVER make $20M a year like DJ did.

17-10-3 on 6-7 shooting. Those are real numbers. DJ did that one or twice.

No, bruh. Thread was garbage UNTIL IT WAS POINTED OUT THAT IT WAS THE SAME OLD GARBAGE.

As predicted in advance weeks ago. We were up by 10 at the time.

Nice win. But the Lakers played it like a preseason game, let's be honest. Well except, you know, Trez...

If I had to pick one to keep on my roster as my center it would be Zu. And the Clippers did. Trez isn't a real NBA center. If I need an x-factor--and that's a 6th man--it's Trez.

Trez is gonna win the Lakers a LOT of regular-season games this year. You can take that to the bank. Brilliant signing, for just the MLE.

And the Clips were undisciplined--Trez only added to the chaos. Serge's athleticism is fading but what the Clips need is basketball IQ and professionalism, neither of which Trez can offer. And Serge can.

Hey--we won, bro!! Hope you enjoyed it. I did.

Nice win to start off championship season. :eyebrows:

I will watch the replay later but looking at the boxscore PG was amazing and Ibaka and Batum will be good aditions.

Let's hope Lou and Kennard will make bigger impact in next games. :D

Um no. The Lakers got their rings before the game. They were ready. We were probably more ready. The Lakers came back in the second but we separated ourselves again.
You still cannot give the Clippers their due instead you say the Lakers didn't come out to play?
Calling out a coach for a play or two is not dbagging. You are the one spoiling mostly every thread with your not so subtle commentary about how Kawhi is leaving or how PG doesn't deserve blah blah.

I was criticizing Lue last night, but I will say this: at least he didn't put Reggie back in the game. Doc would have played him 48 minutes, made him guard LeBron, and told the media that "we needed his scoring, we really did."

Let's be real, what really made him mad wasn't "douching our coach and the last coach." He wanted Trez to have an epic revenge game so he could gloat. Instead, Trez stunk up the court and we won. It's no coincidence that his whining started after I posted all those tweets making fun of Trez.
