One thing's for sure, the Wizards defense will be at least better than the Warriors

Brooklyn is absurdly deep. Their second unit is Dimwiddie, LeVert, Prince, J.Green and Allen. Everyone but Green could start on a bad team.

That bench is a 7th seed starting unit!
And wow, Clippers just jumped on the Lakers big time early in this game.

George looked great and took over the game at the end of the 3rd quarter. I like the Clips center combo of Ibaka and Zubac. Harrell puts up numbers, but Ibaka provides much better defense. Obviously Lebron and Davis were not in mid-season form, but they'll get there. Same with Kawhi. Schroeder and Harrell played well off each other - but not off of Lebron and Davis. It'll be interesting to see how they all blend this season - is Harrell's presence playing inside getting in the way of what Lebron and Davis like to do? Gasol was completely ineffective. I could actually see Keiff getting a lot of minutes at center for them.

I think Dinwiddie starts, but I like the way you spelled his name.

Lol... No, its not.
Dinwiddie starts...
Levert is an overrated chucker who just shot 6/17 last night.
Prince was one of the worst players in basketball last year as a 25 y/o in his "Prime". He is worse than Jerome Robinson.
Jeff Green was a solid basketball player in his Prime. He's now 34 and closing in on 30k minutes
Allen is really solid, but I have a feeling this is flawed as I believe he plays starter minutes and Jordan is really the "Backup".
Sorry, but Ish, Brown, Deni/Bonga, Bertans are better than Shamet, Levert, Prince, Green.

Paul George was amazing, but that won't happen every night. The Lakers are still the best, but I love to see them lose.
To beat Brooklyn we'll have to slow down Kyrie Irving. We couldn't stop him in pre-season, but that was with Irving shooting over an undersized Raul Neto. Westbrook is bigger and more physical. I wonder how he's done in the past defending Irving.

I doubt that in all honesty.

Wrong thread. My fault.
President Trump told two senior Russian officials in a 2017 Oval Office meeting that he was unconcerned about Moscow’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election because the United States did the same in other countries

Obviously not optimal but Green could probably start for the Wizards with Rui out and if the Wizards still wanted to bring Bertans off the bench. In 2018 he started for the Cavs in game 7 with Kevin Love out against the Celtics.

I figure everyone in that second unit could start on at least 25% of the teams in the league except Jeff Green who could probably only start on 2 or 3 teams. Dinwiddie and Allen would start on probably 60% of teams.

I think the NBA did a good job of creating compelling match-ups for the opening games.
The Warriors/Nets was the only predictable blow-out.

This is great for the NBA, non-superstar teams are competitive now

Wow, Miami's got a bench unit led by Dragic/Bradley/Iggy.

World class roster construction combined with a great coach. Prime example of a well run franchise
