When you look at the first half of the season schedule, this is one of about 10 "winnable" games against a lottery team. Should be a loss considering we have so many new young players but wouldn't really be surprised either way. Will be interesting to see the two top 7 picks go at it.

I'm not sure we won't see these two teams matching up again in the finals.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

Glad we can be a part of the T-Wolves hot start that will end in no defense disappointment for their fans.

Think Josh Jackson has a big night tonight. A month into the season, people will be talking about him in a positive way across the league.

Going to be an ugly game, with lots of TOs. If the Pistons can win that battle, they will win the game.

KAT probably does score 40 as mentioned above. Blake/Okafor/Plumlee who guards him?

I still think Sekou's best spot is as a small ball 5, bowling ball type guy (as he fills out).

Killian
Jackson
Bey
Grant
Sekou

Bey/Grant/Sekou could all switch onto KAT and play defense as well as Okafor in their sleep.

i had a fantasy draft on sunday for a points league and felt so confident that i could get him as late as i wanted (in a deep league) because our team is so far under anyone's radar. ended up taking him in the second last round (185th overall) and that was just to be safe.

jackson really had a great preseason relative to what was expected of him and if he can even maintain 35% shooting from 3 on decent volume he'll be a huge FA steal. i'll admit i wrote him off when we signed him but was recently so happy when i realized we signed him for two years. if jackson balls out this season then he'll be a HUGE trade chip next off season.

Prediction: Timberwolves win opening contest

As mentioned, expect a hot mess with turnovers by both teams. The fifteen minutes of time where Townes is playing against Okafor will be go as badly as the most cynical Piston fan expects - though in Okafor's future defense, the rest of the league is in the same department. Pistons will show some good defense but just won't be able to produce enough offense. I can easily see Blake going off in the first half, fizzling out in the second, as Timberwolves come from behind.

Hayes will show some solid d, sloppy o, and a justification for Casey to limit him to 20 to 25 minutes a night. Piston faithful will be off the rails already that Casey doesn't even play the other rooks.

Wild card: Sekou. Twolves will be awful defensively, so he could really get rolling tonight.

Man, if Josh Jackson works out, this team would be even more exciting to watch. If Josh becomes a starter soon and can keep improving, watching Killian and him play together would be such a treat .. both on offense and defense. If things go well, he can take a lot of pressure to make plays out of Killian's hands as well.

When was the last time you thought Pistons backcourt could be an exciting watch?

If our offense is capable of going off, it's against this defense, I'd think.

T’Wolves 110, Pistons 88. Keep those ping pong balls coming!

And yes, Casey’s going to play the vets too much. With a blowout, though, I see 25-30 for Hayes, 20-25 for Sekou, 5-10 for Bey and Stewart.

Looks like a Nuggets reunion, 4 of the 10 starters are former Nuggets. Hope Plumlee and Grant can provide SOME use to their former team tonight but not expecting much. Good Luck

I fully expect this to be one of the sloppiest Piston games we have all seen(regular season)in a very long time.

I'm hopeful that Casey plays the rookies, and young players all big minutes, but I also recognize that he's an old dog and won't learn new tricks.

Kinda depressed about this season to be perfectly honest. It should be a season for us longtime fans to finally watch the kids play but because of having the worst owner, new GM, and a crotchety coach incapable of doing anything new, it's going to be a long, frustrating season, and one we all can't wait to end.

Not trying to be a Debbie downer, and man I hope I'm wrong, but just thinking about Plumlee, Blake, Rose, Grant, and Wright closing games has me vomiting in my mouth a little.

Here's to hoping the kids play, and the vets back them up!
